This new specially designed concept car boasts a unique convertible roof setup with a small pickup bed and is based on the Land Cruiser, which is essentially a rebadged version of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.
For starters, the ROX suffix stands for Recreation Open Experience and this new concept boasts over 50 percent changes and fabrication when compared to the vehicle it is based on. Designed by Toyota’s CALTY design studio, the new features a number of updates that give it an aggressive road presence.
In terms of the styling, this new SUV features custom-fabricated ‘skeleton’ doors with high-clearance rocker panels, rock rails, and high-lift front and rear steel bumpers with D-rings and brush guards. The D-pillar has been chopped off for a pickup-like look while some additional reinforcements have been added for structural rigidity.
Inside, the new Toyota Land Cruiser Rox concept gets custom SLS Nylon 3D printed elements including doorsills, Heritage Orange leather upholstery and other custom adventure gear.
Under the hood, the new Toyota Land Cruiser Rox concept gets the sa,e 2.4-litre petrol engine with strong hybrid setup. The stock suspension however has been replaced with custom independent suspension by TRD and gets a 4-inch lift kit along with wider tracks and forged aluminium control arms at both the front and back.
