Up to Rs 96,395 price drop on Renault cars — Kiger, Kwid & Triber benefit after GST 2.0

Massive price cut announced for Renault cars

Renault India is cutting prices across its entire range, passing on the full benefit of GST 2.0 to customers. Depending on the model, you could save up to Rs 96,395. The updated prices will apply to all deliveries starting September 22, 2025 — the first day of Navratri.

Renault Kwid prices

With the revised GST structure bringing down tax rates, Renault has dropped the price of the Kwid by up to Rs 55,095. That’s a significant cut, especially in a segment where every rupee counts. The base trim now starts at Rs 4.29 lakh, while the top variant goes up to Rs 5.90 lakh.

Renault Triber prices

Renault has lowered Triber prices by up to Rs 80,195. The range includes four trims: Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion. Prices start at Rs 5.76 lakh and go up to Rs 8.59 lakh. This makes the Triber more accessible without cutting back on options or features.

Renault Kiger prices

Renault Kiger’s new prices start at Rs 5.76 lakh and go up to Rs 10.33 lakh. The price drop across the trims—Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion—ranges between Rs 53,695 and Rs 96,395.

What are the new GST rates on cars?

GST on small cars has been reduced from 28% to 18%, cutting tax by 10%. This applies to cars under 4,000mm with petrol engines up to 1,200cc or diesel up to 1,500cc. Larger cars over 4,000mm were previously taxed at 28% plus up to 22% cess, bringing the total close to 50%. Now, those with engines over 1,500cc are taxed at a flat 40%.

GST on electric vehicles remains unchanged

While GST rates on ICE vehicles have come down, electric vehicles remain unchanged at 5%. No revisions there.
