Launched earlier at GIIAS in Indonesia in July 2024, this updated version of the popular electric MPV promises to redefine the standards of green transportation in the country.
With a sleek and modern exterior design, the BYD e6 features some cosmetic changes with the BYD logo in the centre, sharp LED headlights in front and new LED tail-lamps with a tweaked bumper for the rear.
The updated interior features a larger 12.8-inch floating touchscreen, with a 6- or 7-seat configuration for global-spec BYD e6. Features like automatic climate control, 360-degree cameras, cruise control, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof are included.
The global-spec variant of BYD e6 is offered with a 55.4 kWh battery pack and a 71.8 kWh battery pack while BYD offered the 71.8 kWh battery on the e6 in India, so that’ll likely remain unchanged.
The BYD e6 facelift is anticipated to be priced higher than the previous model, which retailed at Rs 29.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The launch is expected in the coming weeks, just ahead of Diwali.
BYD currently offers two electric vehicles in India: the BYD Atto 3, priced between Rs 24.99 lakh and Rs 33.99 lakh; and the premium BYD Seal with starting price of Rs 41 lakh.
