Upcoming Kia Clavis EV spotted testing

The upcoming Kia Clavis EV was recently seen testing on the roads of Andhra Pradesh, wrapped in camouflage. It is expected to share its platform with the Hyundai Creta Electric. This upcoming 7-seater Kia Clavis EV is anticipated to be priced between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 25 lakh.

Upcoming Kia Clavis EV exterior & interior

The Kia Carens Clavis EV is expected to look quite similar to the ICE version. Some of the changes we might see include a connected LED light strip at the front, closed-off grille, charging port, new alloy wheels, EV badging, and an ADAS radar module placed up front. Inside, the overall layout is likely to stay similar, with a few small updates here and there.

Upcoming Kia Carens Clavis EV features

The Kia Carens Clavis EV is expected to get features like twin 12.25-inch HD screens for infotainment and driver display, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, V2L and V2V charging, a 4-way powered driver’s seat, & 8 Bose speakers. Safety features may include 6 airbags, BVM, 360-degree camera, and a Level 2 ADAS suite, among others.

Upcoming Kia Clavis EV battery specs

The Kia Carens Clavis EV is said to have a battery setup similar to the Hyundai Creta Electric, with options of 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The Creta electric comes with a single motor available in two power outputs — 135PS and 171PS.

Upcoming Kia Clavis electric range

The Creta Electric with a 42kWh battery claims a range of 390 km, while the 51.4kWh battery offers about 473 km. The upcoming Clavis EV is expected to have a similar range.

Kia Carens Clavis EV launch

While the Kia Carens Clavis ICE has been launched in India, the Clavis EV launch is also expected sometime in the second half of this year.
