Vinfast has started accepting bookings for the VF7 electric SUV in India for a token amount of Rs 21,000. Customers can book through the Vinfast India website or at Vinfast dealerships. Notably, the VF7 will be launched before the VF6, despite both SUVs being open for bookings.
The India launch of the VF7 is set for August 2025, aligning with the opening of Vinfast’s new assembly plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. Deliveries will commence shortly after the launch. The $500 million facility is expected to produce 150,000 vehicles annually and generate around 3,500 direct jobs once fully operational.
The Vinfast VF7 will be available with two powertrain options: FWD and AWD, both powered by a 70.8kWh battery. The FWD variant delivers 204PS and 310Nm with a 450km range, while the AWD dual-motor version offers 350PS and 500Nm with a 431km range.
The VF7 is loaded with premium features including LED headlights, a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, head-up display, wireless smartphone charging, ventilated front seats, reclining rear seats, a panoramic glass roof, surround view camera, seven airbags, Level-2 ADAS, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
To support its launch, Vinfast has partnered with 13 dealer groups to set up 32 dealerships across 27 cities, forming a full-fledged 3S (Sales, Service, Spares) network. The network will cover major cities including Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Goa, among others.
