The Volkswagen Golf GTI is set to launch in India in May 2025. It will be available in a single Mk 8.5 variant, with 250 units in the first batch. The car will be imported to India through the CBU route and will be sold exclusively online.
The Volkswagen Golf GTI will be available in four color options: Grenadilla Black Metallic, Oryx White Premium Mother-of-Pearl Black, Moonstone Grey Black, and Kings Red Premium Metallic Black.
The Volkswagen Golf GTI will come with a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, 10.25-inch instrument cluster, three-zone climate control, 7 speakers, 18-inch alloys, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, seven airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, XDS front differential, lane assist, and adaptive cruise control, among others.
The VW Golf GTI will feature a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that delivers 265PS of power and 370Nm of torque. It will be paired with a 7-speed DCT for smooth performance.
The VW Golf GTI can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds and is claimed to reach a top speed of 250 km/h.
The Volkswagen Golf GTI booking window will open on 5th May 2025. It is expected that the token amount for bookings in India could be around Rs 25,000.
