The Volkswagen Golf GTI has been launched in India at Rs 53 lakh (ex-showroom). It will come to India through the CBU route and will be available in limited batches. The first batch will have 150 units, while the next batch will depend on demand. It will be sold exclusively through an online store in India.
The Volkswagen Golf GTI measures 4289mm in length, 1789mm in width, and 1471mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2627mm. It has a ground clearance of 136mm and a boot space of 380 litres.
The VW Golf GTI features include a 12.91-inch touchscreen, wireless and wired Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, 10.25-inch digital driver display, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, USB-C ports at the front & rear, start-stop system, split-fold rear seats with centre armrest, and rear AC vents, among others.
On the safety side, the Volkswagen Golf GTI comes with a Level 2 ADAS suite that includes 20 features.
VW Golf GTI comes equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 267PS of power and 370Nm of torque. It is paired with a seven-speed DSG gearbox.
The VW Golf GTI can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 5.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h.
