Volkswagen India has launched two new trims, the Taigun Highline Plus and Virtus Highline Plus, in their lineup. Additionally, there are updates to the existing trims: the Taigun Topline and Virtus Topline have received a new package, while the Taigun GT Plus trim now comes with a fresh set of interior features.
The VW Taigun Highline Plus and Virtus Highline Plus both come with the same 1.0L TSI petrol engine, delivering 115PS and 178Nm of torque. Both trims are equipped with 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT transmissions as standard.
The Virtus Highline Plus with the MT gearbox is priced at Rs 13.88 lakh, while the variant with the AT gearbox is priced at Rs 14.98 lakh. On the other hand, the Taigun Highline Plus with the MT gearbox is priced at Rs 14.27 lakh, and the AT transmission variant is priced at Rs 15.37 lakh.
The Highline Plus trim in the Taigun and Virtus is loaded with features, including a 10.09-inch infotainment system, an 8-inch Digital Cockpit, KESSY, an auto-dimming interior rearview mirror, an electric sunroof, auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and auto coming/leaving home lights, among others.
The Taigun GT Line trim has also been updated with additional features, including an 8-inch Digital Cockpit, an electric sunroof, KESSY (Keyless Entry, Start, and Exit), aluminium pedals, rain-sensing wipers, and an auto-dimming interior rearview mirror.
The Topline trim of the Taigun and Virtus now comes with the Digital Sound Package, which includes an amplifier and subwoofer as standard, in addition to the existing features already available.
