Tata - Resale Value

Of all the factors one considers before buying a new car, resale value is one among the most vital. People these days change cars more frequently than before and therefore prefer if the car they are going to buy has a good resale value, which, of any car depends on various factors: brand, performance, exterior condition, interior condition, mechanical condition, drive-trains and seasonal demand, paint color, and mileage. Tata, being an Indian carmaker has an advantage in major factors when it comes to used Tata cars. Its parts are cheap and service centers can easily be found in any part of the country. As it has a low maintenance cost, people prefer Tata over many international brands—both first hand and Tata pre-owned cars. Cars like Zest and Bolt, in fact, have added stars to the company’s reputation, adding worth to its resale value.

It constructed its first commercial vehicle in 1954 after collaborating with Daimler Benz AG, which ended in 1969. The company, in 1991, entered the market of passenger vehicles with the launch of Sierra. Post-entering the passenger segment, the company became the first Indian company to manufacture a competitive automobile on its own and, grew up to acquire Daewoo Commercial Vehicles Company in 2004 and purchase Jaguar Land Rover from Ford in 2008. World famous football striker, Lionel Messi, became the company’s brand ambassador to endorse and promote Tata Motor passenger vehicles on a global level. Since then, even value of used Tata Cars has been uplifted.

The company has vehicle assembly operations in India, England, South Korea, Thailand, Spain, and South Africa, which, further are planned to extend in Turkey, Indonesia, and Eastern Europe.

Tata – What makes it Unique?

  • Experience: As an Indian company, no other motor company in India has a good experience as Tata. As a group, in fact, the company has more than a century old experience which teaches the company how to run a business in its own nation.
  • Indianness: It is a home company so spare parts can easily be managed, even in the remote parts of the country, which makes life easy for Tata car owners. Good thing is that you can find parts of old Tata cars also quite easily, unlike many of the new cars from International makers.
  • Company Value: Tata is known for its brand value, a company that works on its 100-year old philosophy even today. More than profit, it sees customer satisfaction.
  • Low Maintenance: Unlike German or American car makers, Tata Cars have low maintenance which makes it affordable for its car users. People who have used Tata cars never face maintenance issues.
  • High Mileage: Be it yesterday’s Indica or today’s Nano, beating Tata has not been an easy job. And in the era when fuel prices are touching the sky, this factor counts. At least, for intelligent geniuses!
  • Resale Value: With a few recent products and company takeovers, Tata’s technology has improved, which is clearly seen in the coming cars, leading to a good resale value of not only new cars but Tata old cars as well.
  • Value for Money: Tata cars are affordable, with great mileage, have a low maintenance cost and high resale value. No doubt, they are value for money and highly suggested.

Sell Used Tata Cars in India

Tata cars are a common man’s cars. Though many people have not liked a few of its cars, it has always come up with strong rivals to the leading cars in India. It soon became a loved car because of its excellent fuel economy, powerful engine, spacious interiors, and an aggressive marketing strategy. Indica ruled the Indian market for years before the production ended and Safari had no competitor for long, a car that still stands on its reputation. Tata cars have always kept in mind the people, roads, and environment of its nation. Not the best, but used Tata cars still have a good resale value.

Few Factors that you can consider before buying a used Tata car or if you plan to sell used Tata cars are:

•    Demand Vs Supply: Tata doesn’t have a totally flop car in its current segment.
•    Poor after Sales Service: The company has 1000+ centers across India which makes it easy for the owners.
•    Expensive after sales parts: As Tata Cars are built and assembled in India, there are no import duties on its parts, which makes the car parts and servicing cheaper.
•    Fuel efficiency: The best thing about Tata Cars is its mileage. Tata old cars are still in demand because of this factor. Nano is considered to give the mileage of 25 kmpl. Imagine!
