Tata Sumo Victa PRO’s & CON’s

  • Things We Like
  • Things we don’t like

Smallest turning radius of 4.9m.

60:40 foldable seating with convertible luggage space.

Smooth and comfortable gear shifts with central locking and engine immobilizer.

There is very little chance of getting a passenger car like Tata Sumo Victa, which is reliable and efficient below this price range.

Sumo Victa alternatives include Maruti Alto 800, Datsun Redi Go in this price range. These two models are purely family and personal usage vehicles.

Mahindra Bolero is a good alternative for Victa but way too costly for someone looking for an SUV under this price range. Mahindra Bolero prices started from Rs. 8.72 Lakh whereas Victa could be bought at Rs. 4.95 Lakh only.

Power steering is better than XUV, which gives it an edge over other SUVs and makes it a popular choice.

Perfect for riding in the hills and equally good for off-road rides.

Interior quality is a bit backward along with the design.

Poor fuel efficiency

Mahindra’s SUV is preferred over Sumo Victa because of its advanced features and super mileage.

Tata Sumo Gold is more popular in this segment of Tata’s SUV & MUV. Therefore, demand for Victa is limited to taxi purposes or tour & travels.

Maintenance cost is more as compared to Mahindra Bolero, Xylo and others in the same segment because of Victa's high maintenance diesel engine.

On the safety front, it had no airbags, cruise control, or anti-brake system. It does have seat belts.

Tata Sumo Victa EXPERT REVIEWS

So, overall, Victa is a popular choice for buyers looking for a spacious car with 7-8 seat configurations. Also, it is a great ride for long journeys, mountains, terrains, and muddy roads. Its power steering is superb with a robust engine that gives a mileage of 11 kmpl. However, fuel efficiency is a bit fiddly.

Since it is a model of Tata, there are very few chances of any shortcomings on the quality front. Tata Victa is affordable with both MUV & SUV features. It will be a great fit for family, household as well as transport services. In 2011, Tata discontinued this model only to bring another version in this segment of Sumo SUVs, namely - Tata Sumo Gold. It is an aspiration for many Indians to own a Tata vehicle in their lifetimes to experience its values and commitment.

Before buying a second-hand Victa the buyer should check the back compressor and see if it is in mint condition. Otherwise, it can cause problems once you’ve bought the car. Rest, all the specifications are up to the mark for an Rs. 5 lakh SUV car. Without a second thought, this is a car worth buying. People also say that it is one of the best cars from Tata because of how sustainable and productive it can prove to be in the long run.
