The Kia Carens Clavis is a new three-row SUV based on the Carens. In essence, it’s the facelift of the high-selling SUV. Designed with focus on practicality and modern features, it combines a modern design with modern features. Highlights include a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and premium safety features such as multiple airbags, Electronic Stability Control, ABS with EBD and ADAS. Powering the Clavis are powerful yet 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and diesel engines that are available with manual and automatic transmission options.
<p>The Kia Carens Clavis is priced between ₹11.5-21.5 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. Speaking of on-road price, it costs ₹13.2L-24.5 lakh in New Delhi, and ₹13.5L-25.2 lakh in Mumbai. This positions it as a well-priced three-row SUV option. Essentially a facelift of the popular Carens, the Carens Clavis brings a more modern design and enhanced features. With updated styling, advanced tech, and improved interiors, the new model offers a more premium experience. </p>
<p>The Kia Carens Clavis mileage is similar to that of the Carens, as it shares the same platform and engine options. However, the turbo-petrol is now available with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Carens Clavis 1.5 Turbo mileage figures are rated at 15.95 km/l for manual transmission and IMT, and 16.66 km/l for DCT version. The turbo-diesel offers 19.54 km/l with manual and 17.50 km/l with automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre petrol model offers 15.34 km/l. In comparison, the ARAI-certified mileage for the Kia Carens is 16.2 km/l for the 1.5L NA petrol, 16.5 km/l for the 1.5L turbo-petrol (DCT), and 21 km/l for the 1.5L diesel (manual). </p>
<p>The Kia Carens Clavis builds on the Carens' feature-rich package with added tech and modern design touches. Expected highlights include all-LED headlights, connected LED taillamps, a panoramic sunroof, and Level 2 ADAS. Like the Carens, it should offer a 10.25-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a premium sound system, and air purifier. These additions make the Clavis a more advanced and premium offering. </p>
