My favorite car currently on sale in India is the Tata Safari (2023 Facelift). Here's why: Design & Presence: The Safari's bold, modern design with its signature humanity line grille, LED lighting, and imposing stance gives it a premium road presence. Comfort & Space: The 3-row seating is practical for families, and the cabin offers exceptional comfort with features like ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and premium materials. Performance: The 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine delivers strong performance (168 BHP, 350 Nm) while retaining Tata's signature refinement. The 6-speed automatic transmission is smooth and well-tuned. Safety: Tata's commitment to safety is evident with a 5-star Global NCAP rating, multiple airbags, ESP, and robust build quality. Value: It offers a compelling package compared to rivals like the Hyundai Alcazar and Mahindra XUV700, balancing luxury, capability, and affordability. The Safari represents a perfect blend of heritage (reviving a legendary nameplate) and modern innovation, making it my top choice in India's SUV segment.
I love Safari beacuse it stands out for me and it blends practicality, presence, and purpose - all in one package, and that too from an Indian brand. First, the sheer road presence of the Safari is unmatched in its segment. It looks mature and commanding without being flashy. The updated design language, especially with the new grille and connected tail lamps, gives it a premium yet rugged appeal. But looks aren’t everything - and that’s where the driving experience comes in. The 2.0L Kryotec diesel engine is torquey and refined, and mated to the 6-speed automatic (sourced from Hyundai), it delivers both performance and comfort for long-distance touring. As someone who enjoys highway drives and family road trips, this combination of power and space is ideal. The interior, especially post-facelift, has seen a massive upgrade - the 12.3-inch touchscreen, digital cluster, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, and premium upholstery make it feel like a proper luxury SUV at a reasonable price point. And now, with improved ADAS features, it’s c
My favourite Indian car is the Tata Safari. I admire it for multiple reasons. First, it represents the rebirth of an iconic Indian SUV nameplate in a modern avatar. Tata Motors has done an excellent job in blending rugged presence with contemporary features and premium interiors. The ride quality is superb, especially on Indian roads, and the 6/7-seater layout is practical for family use. Additionally, I appreciate Tata’s commitment to safety – the build quality is solid, and their emphasis on crash safety (especially with the GNCAP ratings of their lineup) sets a great example for the Indian automotive industry. Supporting a homegrown manufacturer that is stepping up its game in design, performance, and safety also feels good. If I had to choose one Indian car that balances emotion, practicality, and value, it would be the Tata Safari.
Safari offers the perfect mix of rugged build, spacious interiors, and a strong road presence. Built on a proven platform with modern features and solid safety, it's ideal for Indian roads and long drives. It's a great example of how far Indian engineering has come...practical, premium, and proudly homegrown...proud to own it
