Tata Sierra EV

The Tata Sierra EV is a highly anticipated electric SUV that revives the legendary Sierra nameplate. Unveiled in the concept avatar at the Auto Expo 2020, the Sierra EV is built on Tata’s Gen 2 EV platform. This should ensure a long real-world driving range and efficient performance. It is expected to feature a high-capacity battery pack, offering a range of around 500 km per charge.

The Sierra EV will feature the original model’s signature boxy design but will look thoroughly modern. It will feature sleek LED lighting and a panoramic glass roof. Inside, it will boast a premium cabin with a large touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and advanced connectivity features. The SUV will offer both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) options.

The Tata Sierra EV price in India is expected to start at ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price point, it has a good chance of attracting EV buyers looking for long-range, advanced features and a bold design. If launched at this expected price, it can become a trong contender in the fast-growing electric SUV segment. The final on-road price will vary based on taxes, insurance, and registration fees in different cities. With a spacious interior, many modern features, and strong performance, the Sierra EV could become a force to reckon with in its price segment.

The 2025 Tata Sierra EV specifications are likely to be similar to those of the Harrier EV. It will offer a 500 km range per charge and will be built on Tata’s Gen 2 EV platform. It will feature a high-capacity battery pack with fast charging capabilities. The Sierra EV dimensions will be similar to mid-size SUVs. This should ensure a spacious and comfortable cabin. The SUV will come with many features such as a panoramic sunroof, connected car technology, Level-2 ADA, and a digital instrument cluster. It will even offer both RWD and AWD options.

The Tata Sierra EV will compete with the Mahindra BE.05, Hyundai Creta EV, and MG ZS EV. With a premium feature-laden interior, advanced technology, and a ₹25 lakh price tag, it should attract buyers looking for a stylish and feature-packed electric SUV that offers AWD capabilities.
