Tesla Model S

The Tesla Model S is one of the most advanced electric sedans globally. It offers cutting-edge technology, impressive driving range, and exhilarating performance. Known for its sleek design, high-tech interior, and powerful drivetrain, the Tesla Model S has set benchmarks in the global EV industry. Tesla has been contemplating launching operations in India for some time now, but an official launch looks at least a few months away.

If launched, it will cater to luxury EV buyers seeking a high-performance electric sedan with a futuristic appeal. Equipped with Autopilot, a minimalist cabin with a massive touchscreen, and a long electric range, the Tesla Model S will rival premium luxury EVs. Pricing will be a key factor, but Tesla’s brand value and technological edge could make it a desirable choice for Indian buyers.

The Tesla Model S price in India is expected to be ₹80-85 lakh (ex-showroom). This premium electric sedan, known for its cutting-edge technology and high-performance capabilities, will cater to luxury EV buyers. The on-road price may vary depending on state-wise taxes, registration fees, insurance costs and subsidies. In India, the Tesla Model S will compete with high-end electric sedans. While Tesla has not officially confirmed the India launch, increasing EV adoption and expanding charging infrastructure could make it a viable option.

The Tesla Model S specs make it one of the most advanced electric sedans globally. It features dual or tri-motor AWD configurations, delivering up to 1,020 hp in the Plaid variant. The Model S accelerates from 0-100 km/h in a supercar-rivalling 2.1 seconds, along with offering a top speed of 322 km/h.

With a battery range of up to 650 km, it supports fast charging via Tesla Superchargers. The interior includes a 17-inch touchscreen, a yoke steering wheel, and premium upholstery. Advanced driver assistance features like Autopilot and Full Self-Driving capability enhance safety. If launched, it will redefine luxury EVs in India.

The Tesla Model S rivals in India include high-performance luxury EVs like the Porsche Taycan, Audi e-tron GT, and Mercedes-AMG EQS 53. Like the Model S, these models offer powerful electric drivetrains, premium features, and advanced technology.
