Vinfast VF3

The Vinfast VF3 could launch here as the most affordable offering from the Vietnamese car marque. It will, therefore, even mark the automaker's entry into the affordable electric car segment of India. This compact, 2-door electric micro-SUV, first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, is gaining attention for its distinctive, boxy design and practical appeal for urban commutes. As Vinfast expands its global footprint, the VF3 is positioned to cater to the increasing demand for affordable and efficient intra-city mobility solutions.

The Vinfast VF3 is expected to be a highly competitive offering in India's electric car market. It would have an estimated ex-showroom price of around ₹9-12 lakh. This pricing strategy would make the electric vehicle ownership more accessible to a wider range of buyers. The official launch of the Vinfast VF3 in India is expected to take place by February 2026. This strategic positioning, combined with its compact dimensions and electric powertrain, would provide a strong value proposition for first-time EV buyers and even to those seeking a practical city car with zero emissions.

Upon its launch in India, the Vinfast VF3 will enter the electric micro-car segment. Its only primary rival will be the MG Comet EV, which has a similar size and body format. However, in terms of pricing, the VF3 will even lock horns with entry-level electric hatchbacks and compact sedans like the Tata Tiago EV and Tata Tigor EV. The VF3 aims to distinguish itself with its unique styling, a claimed driving range of up to 215 km and modern features such as a 10-inch floating touchscreen and multiple airbags.
