Bentleys have been rolling on the streets of India for quite some time now, but the carmaker wasn’t officially present in the country, until now.
Globally, Bentley is part of the Volkswagen Group, which includes a number of iconic marques such as Skoda, Lamborghini, Audi, Porsche, and Bugatti.
The British brand is now officially a part of SAVWIPL, making it the sixth brand to join the group, along with Skoda, VW, Audi, Porsche, and Lamborghini. Earlier, Bentleys were sold by a private importer called Exclusive Motors.
Abbey Thomas has been appointed as the Brand Director for Bentley India. He has had prior experience with other major OEMs such as Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Toyota.
Bentley is planning to open three dealerships in major cities across the country, with the first two being in Bengaluru and Mumbai, and the third one in New Delhi.
The current global lineup of Bentley cars includes the Bentayga, Bentayga EWB, Flying Spur, Continental GT, and Continental GT Convertible.
