What car details can I find on your website?

We’re committed to giving you a seamless and fully transparent transaction, so we list an abundance of information on each car page, including a detailed 150+ point inspection report with input from our auto experts. If you pick a car, here’s what you’ll find about it:

Refurbishment Standards

Will the vehicle have brand-new tires?

We replace the tyre if they do not meet the RTA approved passing standard. Spare tyres do not have the age limit of five years provided they are road-worthy as per RTA standards.

If a car has been repainted, does it mean it was involved in an accident?

Not necessarily. As part of refurbishment, we undertake smart repainting to rectify scratches or dents of sizes exceeding our permissible standards to return the panel to its best condition.

Are the cars repainted before they go on sale?

After inspecting a car on 150+ parameters, depending on what is needed, we do whatever it takes to return it to its best condition! As a result, some of the body panels will undergo smart repainting.

Does every car come with brand-new brake pads and discs?

All cars are inspected on 150+ parameters, during which we check the brake pads and discs. The same will be replaced if the thickness is below the vehicle manufacturer's guidelines.

Are all cars accident free?

Currently, there is no common online source to establish accident history nationally covering all emirates. We are unable to provide you with this information. We ensure that we do not buy any cars which have met with structural damage, and as part of our refurbishment, we re-inspect the vehicle thoroughly to ensure it is free from structural damage.

What do you mean by "No structural damage / 100% cars pass the RTA test"?

Structural damage refers to any damage to vehicle structural members such as, but not limited to chassis, body pillar frames, rear body member, rear body floor panel etc. Components such as front or rear bumper support / radiator cross member / fender apron panel are not considered as structural members and we confirm as part of our inspection process that damage to these components and consequent repairs have not impacted the structural integrity of the vehicle.

Is my vehicle fully serviced?

All our vehicles go through an inspection and the required periodic maintenance service is carried out. Service history is shared if provided by the previous owner with supporting evidence.

What is done as part of the service? What does a full car service include?

As part of periodic service, we perform the following:

  • Replace the oil and filter.
  • Clean and adjust front and rear brakes and associated components.
  • Confirm front and rear brake pads/ discs within manufacturer's specifications.
  • Inspect and tighten/ lubricate all front and rear suspension components.
  • Clean both Air and AC filter.
  • Check and top up all fluids.
  • Read all diagnostic fault codes with onboard diagnostic systems and take appropriate action.

What is the difference between Home TD and Cars24 Hub TD?

Home Test Drive
Cars24 gives you the option to test drive a car without having to travel anywhere. For this, we charge a nominal, albeit refundable fee. By paying this refundable fee, you can schedule a Test Drive at your preferred location across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Cars24 Hub Test Drive
In case you are not comfortable with the test drive fee, or you want to test drive multiple cars in one go, you can visit the Cars24 Hub. You can visit our Hub in Dubai to test drive the car you liked on our app/site.
Please note, you can only test drive cars which you have pre-booked on our app/site. Other cars which you see in our hub may not be available for you to test drive, as they might have been booked by other customers.

What happens after I book a Home Test Drive?

After booking a car for Home Test Drive, you can schedule a test drive from the app/site, choosing a time as per your convenience. After you have scheduled your test drive, our team will reach out to you to confirm the details, and clear any doubts or questions you may have.

Is the Home Test Drive booking fee refundable?

100% refundable! The amount you pay for reservation is only blocked by your bank, and is auto released instantly once the test drive is completed. For any reason if you could not take up the test drive, the booking amount will automatically be released when the booking expires or earlier if you cancel the test drive. Do check your bank account balance to confirm this refund!

What happens after I book a Cars24 Hub Test Drive?

After selecting the car for Cars24 Hub Test Drive, you can schedule your visit to our hub at a day and time of your choosing from the available options. Once you have scheduled your test drive, our team will reach out to you to confirm the details, and clear any doubts or questions you may have. On the scheduled date and time, you will need to visit our hub in Jebel Ali, Dubai. We request you to be on time so that you get ample time to test drive your selected cars in the slot timing.

I have booked multiple cars for the Cars24 Hub Test Drive? Do I have to visit the Cars24 Hub multiple times for my test drives?

Based on availability, you can schedule upto 4 cars for test drive in the same time slot. This will help you in avoiding multiple visits, and you can try out multiple cars in one go!

I have paid a booking fee for a Home Test Drive. Will this amount be adjusted in the final price of my car?

The booking fee is a refundable amount, irrespective of your final purchase decision. The amount is only blocked in your account by the bank, and is released automatically once the test drive is completed / cancelled. We do not charge our customers for Test Drives!

I can’t make it on time for the test drive. Can I reschedule the test drive?

Of course! In case you can’t make it for the test drive on the scheduled date or time, you can reschedule the test drive from the bookings section in your app and the steps. However, you will only be able to reschedule upto 5 hours before the test drive slot. If you miss this window, please cancel your existing booking and book once again. It’s that simple!

What happens after the test drive is completed?

Once you have completed the test drive for the car at your preferred location, you will need to pay the adjustable Token amount to reserve the car and proceed with the purchase process. Your relationship manager will guide you with the next steps, from documentation through to delivery. Please note that the same car can be test driven by multiple customers and the one who pays the token amount first will get the exclusive right to purchase the car.

Payment and Financing

What is the minimum loan amount I can apply for?

Most of the banks have a minimum loan amount of AED 2500/- However the minimum loan amount offered by DIB is AED 15000/-.

How and when do I pay for the car transaction?

CARS24 transactions are done completely online. You can make the payment through bank transfer, cheque, debit card, or credit card.

What is DBR?

DBR is Debt Burden Ratio and is used to measure an individual’s ability to manage monthly payments and repay debts. It is calculated by dividing the total recurring monthly debt by gross monthly income, and it is expressed as a percentage. DBR is capped at 50% by the Central Bank of the UAE.

What is the loan tenure?

Loan tenure is the term of the loan. The maximum loan tenure offered by banks is 5 years or 60 months.

Can I get my CARS24 purchase financed?

Yes! CARS24 will assist you with finance options for your car purchase through our partnered banks and other financial providers. Our Relationship Manager will coordinate with you post-booking and assist in applying for finance on your behalf. Do note however, financing approval depends on the banks' terms and conditions as well as your loan eligibility.

What are the documents required to avail a loan?

The bank will require the following types of documents for processing your loan:
Identity documents: Passport / Emirates ID/ Visa / Family Book for UAE nationals.
Income documents – Salary Certificates/ Bank Statement/ Audited financials (for self-employed individuals)

What are the applicable charges while availing the loan?

Every bank and type of loan will have different charges on availing the loan. However, a processing fee is payable across all banks, which will be 1% of the loan amount or 500 AED whichever is higher.

What is the maximum loan amount I can apply for?

The maximum loan amount that can be applied for is AED 5,00,000/-

What is the interest rate?

Interest rate is a rate that the bank charges on the loan availed by the customer, and is calculated on the full original loan amount for the whole term without taking into consideration the periodic payments. In other words, interest is charged on the full amount of the loan throughout its loan tenure.

The interest rate that the bank will charge will vary from 3.25% to 5.30% depending on your salary bracket, industry of work, and other factors.

Can I pay my loan back earlier than planned?

Yes, most banks will give you the option of paying back your loan earlier, subject to applicable fee and terms agreed at the time of availing the loan. This is called “Early Settlement”.

What loan amount am I eligible for?

Once you apply for a loan, the bank will assess your eligibility basis your monthly income, DBR and other factors, and finance upto 80% of the total vehicle cost, as mandated by the central bank of UAE.

How can I get my car financed?

If you require a loan to buy that dream car, our Relationship Manager will help connect you with multiple banks that offer loan facilities. The basic requirements for loan eligibility are a regular income and a resident visa. Get started on this process here!

Documentation and Ownership Transfer

What documents will I be required to submit during the purchase process?

You will need the following documents at the time of purchase:

What does the financing documents charge include?

Financing entails a lot of documentation requirements. For you to not have to worry about this at all, for a small fee CARS24 will ensure creation and submission of documents like the valuation certificate and loan quotation. We will take care of the entire process once you select Financing as your payment mode and will help expedite the entire process with minimal documentation, only what is absolutely essential.

Can I get the financing document charges along with the car amount?

No, it will not be possible to get this fee financed. You will need to pay this small fee along with a down payment.

How much will you charge for ownership transfer?

Only RTA charges shall have to be paid for registering the car in your name.

Can I get the registration fee financed along with the Car Price?

No, it will not be possible to get this financed. You will need to pay this registration fee along with a Down Payment (in case of financing) and Balance Payment (in case of full payment).

If I return the car under the 7 day return policy, will I get a refund of the registration fee?

Yes, for sure. If, for any reason, you want to return the car under the 7 day return policy, we will refund you the entire registration fee along with the Balance amount refund post deregistration of the car.

Value Added Services

Do I need to buy insurance for my car?

Before you hit the road on your newly purchased car, it is mandatory to have a car insurance cover as per the UAE RTA law. But don’t worry, we have you covered. We will ensure that you have access to a variety of good quality, reputed and affordable insurance plans at discounted rates, and we will handle all the paperwork to get the policy issued for you by the date of delivery.

What kind of insurance policies can I purchase?

We have tied up with reputed insurance aggregators to get you a variety of plans at discounted prices. We have tried to ensure that we give you multiple options depending upon the car, your choice of the payment mode and your price range preference. You can choose from takaful / conventional plans, agency repair / non-agency repairs, comprehensive / third party covers.

What is the difference between a takaful policy and a conventional insurance policy?

Takaful, also called Islamic insurance, is a system of cooperative insurance. Please note that it is not just for Muslims and is open to non-Muslims who prefer to subscribe to and receive Takaful benefits. While the ultimate safeguard provided to the insured person under a takaful insurance is similar to that provided under a conventional insurance, a takaful agreement is Sharia-compliant. You are free to choose a takaful policy for any kind of deal, however if you are availing a loan from an Islamic Bank, then it would be mandatory for you to select takaful.

Why do I not have an option for agency repair in the insurance plans available for my car?

Insurance covers with agency repairs are only available for cars that are within 2 years of their manufacturing date.

Does my preferred payment method affect the options available for insurance plans?

It sure does! A third party cover can be opted for only if you have selected Full payment as your payment method. In case you change your payment mode to Financing, you will accordingly need to change the insurance plan to a comprehensive plan. Similarly, if you are availing financing from a Islamic bank, you must choose a takaful plan.

Can I change my insurance plan that I initially selected at a later stage?

You will be able to change the insurance plan that you selected only until the required documents have been verified. As soon as the documents are verified, your selected insurance plan becomes a part of the loan application (in financing cases) and the insurer starts processing your selection so that your car is insured by the time it is delivered (in full payment cases), and hence it will not be possible to change the plan post this stage. Please ensure to go through all the details of the available plans as soon as you pay the token, and discuss them with your Relationship Manager to make an informed decision.

When do I need to pay for the insurance policy?

You will be asked to make the payment for your chosen insurance policy to the insurance broker directly via a separate payment link at the same time when making the (full or down) payment of the car to CARS24. Please note that if you are getting a loan for your car, you will have the option to finance your insurance plan as well. However, you will still need to make a payment to the insurance broker on a separate payment link. The insurance amount will get deducted from the down payment amount. Once successfully paid for, you will receive an invoice from the insurance provider.

How do I make a claim under the insurance policy?

You can directly reach out to the insurance provider on the customer care number / email provided by them in the policy document to make any claims.

Will I get a refund if I get the insurance cancelled if I return the car within the 7 days return window?

Should you wish to return your car within the 7 day return period, we will assist you to cancel the insurance policy on the car. We will assist with the refund of the policy amount paid to the insurance provider upon policy purchase, subject to the insurance provider's terms and conditions. Please note that as per UAE laws, there could be cancellation charges levied by the insurance provider which will be mentioned in the policy document.

Why should I choose to get the car tinted?

Tinting blocks heat to protect the interiors, provides UV protection, reduces glare and reduces fuel consumption due to lesser requirement of air conditioning. It also adds style and gives you privacy. The maximum darkness permitted by the UAE government is 50%, so we have put together a bunch of options for you to choose from within the permitted standards.

What are the benefits of paint protection?

The cost of tinting and paint protection will also be financed by the banks. Down payment (in case of financing) or balance payment (in case of full payment) will happen later in the process after the documents are approved and, if applicable, the LPO is approved.

Will my delivery be delayed if I opt for tinting or paint protection?

We will start working on the car immediately after you make the down payment (in case of financing) and balance payment (in case of full payment) to wrap up your car in the purchased Value Added Services. It should not take us more than a few hours to complete this and we don’t foresee any delays in delivery due to this, so you shouldn’t worry.

Can the Value Added Services be financed?

Definitely! If you are getting your car financed, the price of the Value Added Services can be included in the loan quotation and you can get it financed alongside the car. It’s as simple as that.

What is the warranty I will get on Value Added Services?

Every brand and option may have a specific warranty attached to it, and we will specify the warranty along with the service details. You can discuss these details with your Relationship Manager to make an informed decision.

What is the warranty claims process for the Value Added Services?

Will I get a refund for the Value Added Services purchased if I return my car?

Since tinting and paint protection are consumables, there will be no refund for the Value Added Services if the car is returned.

Car Delivery

How will I know if my scheduled pick-up or delivery is confirmed?

After the purchase process is complete, our Relationship Manager will call you to confirm your delivery and pick up details.

What happens during the car delivery?

Our CARS24 Delivery Associate will meet you at the delivery time, verify your Emirates ID, get the delivery receipt signed, and hand over the car, keys, and the documents.

Do I have to be available at pickup or delivery, or can someone collect the car on my behalf?

You’ll be needed for this! You will have to present at the time of car delivery or pickup and present your Emirates ID for verification.

How long will my delivery or pick-up appointment take?

The usual pick-up or delivery process takes about 30 minutes.

What items/documents will I receive with the car?

Along with the car, you’ll get all spare keys if mentioned on the car listing page. You’ll also get the Sales Agreement, Sales Contract, Invoice, Registration Certificate (RC/ Mulkiya), Warranty Booklet and Insurance Certificate.

What is the CAR24 warranty offer?

Every car listed on CARS24 comes with a complimentary service warranty of upto 6 months or 10,000 Kms, whichever is earlier. The free warranty period will vary from car to car and is clearly mentioned at the checkout page on completing the booking. The warranty covers vital parts of your car based on a comprehensive inspection report and the details of coverage will be shared with our customers at the time of car delivery. The free warranty is auto activated once the car is delivered, commencing from the date of vehicle registration.
Customers can also buy extended warranty at discounted price from CARS24 once they have finalised their car.

Why do different cars have different periods of free warranty?

Our aim is to provide the best possible service at the lowest possible price, to all our customers. Our free warranty coverage is calculated based on the age and mileage of the vehicle. This helps us in ensuring that we are able to offer you the lowest possible price for your dream car and give our customers the flexibility to choose the warranty plan best suited for them.

If my car has a lower free warranty duration, does that mean it is a poor quality car?

Absolutely not! All our cars pass our 150-point inspection before being listed for sale. You can be rest assured that you will get the best quality car when you are purchasing from CARS24. The free warranty period is calculated based on age and mileage such that the vehicle price remains competitive.

You can always opt to purchase extended warranty at a discounted price from CARS24.

What if I want a longer warranty period?

Our customers will always have the option to purchase an extended warranty. You can avail this option while you submit your documents after the Test Drive.

What is the cost of extended warranty?

The cost of extended warranty will be visible to you at the time of purchase and will vary from car to car. Rest assured that we will provide you a great warranty package at the best prices. What is not covered under warranty?

Our warranty covers everything your car needs to run smoothly. Details of the parts covered are mentioned in our Warranty Booklet.
Warranty will not cover maintenance related repairs, accidental or consequential damages, cosmetic repairs ( Exterior/ Interior wear and tear) and accessories. We request you to go through the warranty booklet for a detailed understanding.

What does the extended warranty cover?

The extended warranty of up to 24 months works exactly the same as the complimentary warranty. You will be eligible for all the same parts and services, as mentioned in your warranty booklet. We request you to go through the warranty booklet for a detailed understanding.

I sold the vehicle I bought from CARS24 to my friend. Can he also avail of this warranty?

The warranty provided with CARS24 is non-transferable. It also gets void in case the vehicle is exported out of the country or it is used as a commercial vehicle. The detailed terms and conditions will be mentioned in our warranty booklet.

What precautions should I take to ensure the warranty remains valid?

If you do not wish to avail the benefits of this service, you can simply notify us and we will help cancel the same, however there will not be any compensation provided for the base warranty plan or any deduction from the car price.

How frequently should you service your car?

The Cars24 service maintenance schedule needs to be followed here which recommends that you should service your car:

  • In terms of distance: Every 10,000 KM
  • In terms of time: Every 6 months, whichever is earlier in your case

When will the 1st service be due?

The day you receive the delivery of the car is when the actual time-period starts. The first service will be due at 6 months or 10,000 km (whichever comes earlier), from the delivery date.

What are the standalone service charges without contract?

What is the difference between a standalone service and a service contract?

We have two types of service offerings for Cars24 customers:

  • Standalone Services: These are services that are one-time in nature and make sense for you if you are looking for individual servicing at the 10,000 KM mark (or 6 months mark whichever is earlier) or 20,000 KM mark (or 12 months mark whichever is earlier)
  • Service Contracts: These are annualized contracts of varied coverage (in terms of KM and years), which basically outsources your car maintenance to us so that you can relax and let us take care of your car. We charge a fixed fee for a certain duration and cover all your servicing.

Why are service contracts better than standalone services?

A service contract should make more sense for you if you want to:

  • Be Economical: Service Contracts are locked-in for a longer duration at a fixed price, unlike standalone services, whose prices can change over the course of a year, etc. basis market scenarios, etc.
  • Keep your warranty intact: When you buy a car, it is covered under warranty and failure to do timely servicing means your warranty will go void, however, if you were to buy a Service Contract from us, we will ensure that you don't (a) miss out on timely service, and (b) in case you do miss out, we still got you covered.

Why should you buy a Service Contract?

A service contract is needed for multiple reasons, a few of which are:

  • To ensure your warranty is valid ~ To ensure that the vehicle warranty is valid, customers must carry out timely servicing, as suggested by the warranty underwriter/seller
  • To keep your car in top-notch condition ~ Timely servicing ensures that the car you love is always in the best condition

What happens if I don't like my car when it is delivered?

We understand that buying a car is an important decision. That is why when you're buying a car from CARS24, it’s ok to change your mind. If you don't like the car in 7 days, return it and get a 100% refund, just like anything else you order online.

How does the 7-Day Trial work?

Here’s how this works:

  • Select the car of your choice and buy it from CARS24
  • Once you get your car, you can test-own it for up to a week. Test drive it in different ways, see if your family fits in it comfortably, load up the boot with luggage or shopping. Basically, do whatever it takes to check that this is the perfect car for you. But be careful, ensure that it remains in the same condition that it was delivered to you in.
  • If you’re not happy with your purchase for whatever reason, simply email us ([email protected]) within 7 days of your delivery date.
  • Our team will do a quick check to ensure that the car is in the same condition as it was during delivery, and begin the return process.
  • Once all details are verified, your refund will be processed within 3-5 working days.

What are the terms and conditions for the CARS24 7-Day Trial?

The easy return policy is applicable only if the return request has been raised within 7 days of car delivery.
Our team will inspect the car during the return process before proceeding. If the car is damaged, modified, altered, or has missing parts, a full refund will not apply.
Note: Cars that have clocked more than 600 km from the delivery date are not eligible for return.

When will my payment be processed if I return the car under the 7 Day Trial?

The refund is initiated within 3 to 5 working days if the car meets all the above-mentioned terms & conditions.Refund payment will be initiated only after the ownership is transferred to CARS24 in the RTA.

If you have gotten your car financed, processing fee will not refunded and the bank might levy early settlement charges.

In what scenarios will my car not be eligible for return?

Your car will not be eligible for return if -

  • The vehicle has been modified, in an accident or damaged, altered from the condition it was delivered in or had a lien or other encumbrance put on the vehicle.
  • Car has clocked more than 600 km from the delivery date
  • The vehicle has been examined and repaired by a third party/mechanic post-delivery and before returning it to CARS24
  • There is any change(s) initiated in the vehicle by any such external party
  • There are issues observed in the vehicle due to negligent driving by the Buyer
  • In case of car pick up from your location, you are not available for 14 days from the date that the car is delivered to you.

Can I choose to buy another car after I return my car under the 7-Day Trial?

Yes, of course! You can choose to buy another car from CARS24 - and we would love to deliver it to you, and you don’t even need to wait until one return is complete to reserve another. However, in the interest of fairness for our community, you can return only 3 cars for a full refund under the easy return policy.

What if there is an item or an accessory missing at the time of return pick-up?

If there’s any change in the vehicle’s condition at the time, or an accessory or a missing part compared to the checklist you signed during purchase, that amount will be deducted from the car value and the rest refunded. This amount will be decided by our technical team.

What if I face an issue with my car after the 7 day trial period?

That’s a good question! We’ve taken utmost care to make sure that this will not be the case - each car listed on the platform goes through rigorous testing and inspection. In any case, you don’t need to worry - all our cars come with a complimentary service warranty of upto 6 months or 10,000 Kms, whichever comes earlier, so you can get it repaired from our authorized partners. In addition, you have the option to purchase upto 24 months extended warranty.

This gift will be given to customers who book test drive on dates and slots which indicate a “Free Gift” and subsequently complete the Test Drive on the chosen date and slot.

What is the exclusive gift that is given on TD completion?

We have a variety of gifts on offer worth upto 250 AED. Since it is a surprise gift, you will find out the exact gift assigned to you only after the completion of the Test Drive. Rest assured, you will love the gift.

How will I receive the Test Drive gift?

The Test Drive Associate will handover the gift to you upon completion of the test drive on the chosen date and slot.

You will receive only one free gift per month, irrespective of the number of Test Drives you have completed.
