Sedans are probably the most popular design structure for automobiles around the world. Their 4-door setup and 3-box configuration means more space for passengers along with more entry/exit points. This type of car is used by almost everyone from first-time buyers to families and even corporate businessmen. In India, sedans are also popular because of their fuel efficiency, affordability, and size. Here are the upcoming sedans that will be available in India in the near future.

We are all familiar with the quality Audi has to offer and their ability to sell cars in the luxury segment. The new Audi A6 2019 is a fine example of the company’s brilliance and high-end quality. In the exterior department, the car will feature a new hexagonal grille which is flanked by new LED headlamps on both sides. A new bumper with 2 air dams can also be found under the grille which gives the A6 2019 a low profile look. On the back, the car houses two faux hexagonal exhaust tips while a chrome strip runs across the width of the rear connecting the taillights. The interiors of the 2019 A6 are truly exciting and packed with features. There are two screens in this car – one is a 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system and the other is an 8.6 inch touchscreen control panel. Powering the new A6 is a 3.0L TDI diesel engine which is connected to an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission. There is also a 3.0L TFSI petrol engine variant that features a 7-speed S Tronic transmission.

|Engine||2.0L Petrol, 1.6L Diesel|
Although the Hyundai Elantra 2019 is the sixth generation of its kind, the previous model was one of the most old cars in the country. So, it seems like the manufacturer has decided to revamp the look and performance of the car completely in 2019. The front section of the car, for example, has been redone with new triangular pointed LED headlamps on a new cascading grille. Even the fog lamps from the previous model have been replaced with multi-reflector lamps. In the rear, the Elantra 2019 features new taillights, a new bumper, and a new boot lid. Unfortunately, the changes remained on the outside only as the interiors are pretty much identical to the previous iteration of the Elantra. A few of the changes inside are new AC vents, a stylish new steering wheel, and a wireless charging dock for smartphones. Under the hood, the 2019 Elantra is set to come with a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine or a 1.6L U3 CRDI diesel engine as the available options.

All the models will feature an 8-speed automatic transmission while the Plug-In Hybrid versions will come with All-Wheel-Drive. The interiors are relatively similar to the previous model and feature a vertically placed infotainment system that runs on Volvo’s very own Sensus system. Some of the other safety features include Pilot Assist, City Safety, and Run-Off-Road protection which will be extremely helpful on busy Indian roads. With so much on offer, a old car evaluation tool could be helpful in getting this dream car into your garage soon enough.

Skoda has been doing well in India and the 2019 Skoda Superb seems to have just what every buyer wants. The biggest upgrade for the car is the inclusion of a plug-in hybrid powertrain along with the regular petrol and diesel engines. The car will now feature a 1.5L TSI petrol engine with a 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed DCT. Another variant will come with a 2.0L TSI petrol engine which will only house a DSG or Direct Shift Gearbox. The Superb will also come with 1.6L and 2.0L diesel engine options that feature a 6-speed manual transmission as well as DSG. But the most talked about powertrain option is the PHEV variant that combines a 1.4L TSI petrol engine and an electric motor which is powered by a 13kWh battery. This variant is mated with a 6-speed automatic DSG transmission and is said to offer up to 55 Kms on a single charge.
These four sedans are just a handful from the many upcoming sedans that are set to rock the Indian market. Offering premium features, magnificent designs, and outstanding performances, these sedans listed here should have interested buyers reaching for RC transfer papers very soon.
