Kia’s India sales have gone from strength to strength ever since the South Korean manufacturer entered the Indian market in 2019, launching with just one model — the Kia Seltos. Today, Kia sells four car models in India, the Kia Sonet, Kia Carens, Kia Seltos and the Kia EV6. The Sonet, with an ex-showroom price starting at ₹7.79 lakh is the cheapest Kia you can buy, while the range topping EV6 starts at ₹61 lakh ex-showroom. Kia only sells SUVs in India, although the Carens can be classified as an MPV or Wagon as well.
Kia cars are known for their feature-rich and plush interiors, modern looks, and good build quality. The Kia Sonet, Kia Seltos, and Kia Carens all have a 3-star safety rating, while the EV6 earned a 5-star safety rating. Although Kia has over 300 showrooms and nearly 150 service centres across India, this is less than some of Kia’s rivals. However, Kia does offer excellent customer service for when you need.
