Steps to buy a used car with CARS24 in Trivandrum

Buying from Verified Dealers

1. Select ‘Dealer’ from Filters

Start by filtering listings to show only those from verified dealers. Browse through available options and shortlist the car that fits your needs in terms of body type, brand, transmission, or fuel type.

2. Request a callback

Once you’ve selected a listing, hit the “Request Callback” button. Your interest will be shared with the dealer via this button.

3. Connect with the dealer

After the callback is initiated, you’ll land on the dealer contact page. Here, you can view the dealer’s details and connect with them directly via the CARS24 platform to discuss the listing.

4. Make an offer

Submit your offer directly from the listing page without needing to speak with the dealer beforehand. This allows you to share your price expectations upfront and proceed with booking a test drive appointment.

5. Book a test drive

After making your offer, you’ll have the option to schedule a test drive. Choose a convenient time slot, and the dealer will confirm it based on their availability. 

6. Complete payment and handover

Make the payment directly to the dealer. Most dealers will manage RC transfer and other formalities to help simplify and complete the purchase.

Buying from Verified Private Owners

1. Filter for individual listings

Start by selecting the “Private Owners” filter to view listings shared directly by car owners. Browse through verified options, review the specs, and pick the one that suits your needs.

2. View inspection report (optional)

Before making an offer, you’ll get the option to purchase a 140+ point inspection report (available for just ₹382 + GST). This report, available on the car description page (along with other details and specifications), becomes instantly available for download once purchased and provides a detailed breakdown of the car’s condition to help you make an informed choice.

3. Make your offer

Once you’ve reviewed the car and the seller’s price, you can click "Make Offer". You will be required to input a value and  bid your desired price to move ahead with the offer. Then, you’ll need to select a test drive slot at your convenience. Once selected, your offer price & chosen test drive slot will be sent to the seller.

Note: If you’re using the CARS24 website, a QR code will pop up once you click on "Make Offer". Scan it to download the app and move forward.

4. Wait for seller’s response

Once your offer is sent, the seller can accept, reject, or counter it.

• If accepted, the chat will open so you can coordinate with the seller to confirm the test drive and finalise the purchase
• If countered, you can revise your offer and send it to the seller
• If rejected, you’re free to send a revised offer to the seller, or close the chat in case you don’t wish to continue

5. Finalise the purchase

Once you’re happy with the test drive, you can proceed to close the deal. Choose from our financing options, such as up to zero down payment for eligible buyers (if required), and make the payment. For added security, opt for CARS24’s Safe Payment Service, which securely holds your payment until both you and the seller confirm the car handover. This feature is only applicable when payment is made through the CARS24 platform and is subject to a nominal fee.
