Among the best 4-star rating diesel cars in India, the Mahindra Thar is the only model to fall in this category. Most diesel cars in India have either not been tested or come with a 5-star NCAP rating. Two exceptions include the Mahindra Bolero Neo, which has a 1-star rating, and the Kia Carens with a 3-star score. The Thar is the only diesel model currently tested with a 4-star Global NCAP score. As NCAP tests are conducted after the launch, upcoming 4-star rating diesel cars in India remain unknown.
