We purchased our Honda City 5th Gen (Petrol Manual, Meteoroid Grey) on 1st January 2022, and it has truly been a delightful upgrade from our earlier cars of our family (Alto K10, Santro ZipDrive, Grand i10, and Dzire). One of the most memorable drives was a 1100 km round trip from my hometown Guwahati to the historical town of Sivasagar with my mother. Despite heavy rains on Day 1, the City handled beautifully—stable and confident even at 120–130 km/h on the highway. What made the journey even more special was my mother’s reaction—she said this was one of the most comfortable cars she had ever traveled in. The ride quality, space, and refinement made the trip effortless, and it reaffirmed why the Honda City is truly a timeless sedan. Sharing some pictures I clicked in Kaziranga.

I’ve been driving the Honda City 4th Generation for a while now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the most satisfying cars in its segment. Even though newer models have come up, the 4th gen still holds its ground with timeless design and well-rounded performance. Styling & Design The 4th gen City is a true head-turner. The sharp lines, wide stance, and sleek profile give it a premium and sporty character that still feels modern today. The chrome grille, projector headlamps, and elegant alloy wheels add to its road presence. It’s one of those cars that makes you glance back after parking. Features & Comfort Inside, the City offers a spacious cabin with excellent legroom and airy feel. The beige-and-black interior combo looks classy, while the dashboard layout is simple yet functional. Features like a touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, climate control, rear AC vents, and a sunroof (on higher trims) make it a very comfortable car for both driver and passengers. Honda’s attention to practicality—like bottle holders in every door and a large boot space—adds to everyday convenience. Driving Dynamics This is where the City really shines. The i-VTEC petrol engine is smooth, refined, and loves to rev. Whether in the city or on the highway, the car feels composed and confident. The steering feedback is precise, the suspension strikes a good balance between comfort and stability, and the gearbox (both manual and CVT) is slick. It’s genuinely fun to drive, yet easy to handle in traffic. Ownership Experience Honda’s reliability and after-sales service make ownership hassle-free. The City is known for its durability and low maintenance costs compared to other sedans in the segment.

🏎️ Honda City VX CVT 2023 Ownership Review – MH12VC3627 I have been driving my Honda City VX CVT (2023 model) for the past year, and as of now the odometer reads 15,400 km. Here’s my experience so far: --- #### 🚗 Driving Experience & Mileage * The i-VTEC engine + CVT combo is butter smooth, perfect for city drives as well as long highways. * In Pune city traffic, I usually get around 12–13 kmpl. * On highways, with light foot driving, I have managed 17–18 kmpl consistently. * The CVT is refined, and the paddle shifters are quite handy for quick overtakes. --- #### 🌍 Places I’ve Driven In the last year, I have taken the City on multiple road trips across Maharashtra and nearby states: * Goa – smooth cruising on highways, mileage touched 18+ kmpl. * Ujjain & Omkareshwar – a comfortable 1,200+ km round trip with family. * Konkan (Ratnagiri, Ganpatipule) – handled winding ghats very well. * Mahabaleshwar & Panchgani – no issues climbing steep inclines, CVT worked flawlessly. The City has been a true all-rounder for both short city commutes and long-distance journeys. 🛠️ Service & Maintenance * All services done at Honda ASC Pune on schedule. * 1st free service @ 1,000 km – basic checkup, no charges. * 2nd free service @ 5,000 km – oil & filter change. * 3rd free service @ 10,000 km – regular service, wheel alignment, balancing. * Next service is due at 20,000 km. * Service cost has been reasonable, around ₹4,500 – ₹6,000 depending on consumables. --- #### 🔧 Add-ons & Accessories Installed I have customized MH12VC3627 with a few practical and aesthetic accessories: * OEM 7D Floor Mats * Sunfilms (legal IR-cut) for better cabin cooling * Chrome garnish kit (grille + door handles + window line) * Door visors * Damping & upgraded speakers for better sound insulation *Seat covers (leatherette, beige-black dual tone) Rear bumper protector** Dashcam(front + rear) for safety Best csr in the segment !!! I've been driving a Honda City (Petrol) for the past 8 years, and I must say I'm truly in love with this car. It has clocked over 1 lakh kilometers, yet it continues to perform flawlessly - Silent & Powerful Throughout my extensive travels, the Honda City has never let me down Not once have I been stranded on the road. The maintenance costs have remained surprisingly minimal over the years. Except relatively low ground clearance, the car has consistently delivered on all fronts comfort, performance, refinement, and value.

My favourite car in India is the Honda City. It's one of those rare cars that still delivers a pure driving experience without overcomplicating things. The 1.5 i-VTEC engine is smooth, responsive, and feels alive every single time you drive it. What I like most is the overall balance great comfort, strong reliability, low maintenance, and that solid Honda build quality. For its price, it's still a No-brainer. It's a car you can enjoy on highways and trust for years without worry.

I have a 2022 City ZX MT. Its performance n mileage are notch everyone knows it but Service cost is super affordable, better than even Maruti. 2nd Paid service costed my only Rs.5200 in Pune which includes Cabin Filter. I am a highway driver who drives once in a quarter for around 2500 KMs. This car has never disappointed me and Manual is a gem to drive. I achieve 19 to 20 KMs mileage without a fuss with full time AC ON.

We own a 4th Gen Honda City VX Diesel. This was our family's first car. I was 15 YO when we bought the car. I remember this was my Dad's dream car and the smile on his face was just priceless. Coming to the car i have been a passenger for most of time untill 4 years back when i learnt driving . Reviewing as a passenger i would say that the rear seat space and conform is unmatched, the cabin feels airy, and comfortable, the suspensions are soft, and the ride quality is great too. we have had a few long trips of 800+ kms and the journey has been very comfortable. Now coming to my experience as a driver, its such a crazy experience so far. i love driving it and the extra torque you get in diesel is just so good. Only concern though is the low ground clearance where i as a new driver have had bumped into the speed breakers. Overall the car has been super reliable wherein we have never had any issues where it suddenly stopped working, the mileage is amazing the best we had was 25 kmpl from rajkot to indore trip, super low on maintenance, and overall value for money car.

I am very much satisfied with my Honda City 2014 VX Diesel Manual. Even after years of ownership, the comfort level is fabulous and continues to impress me every single day. The design still looks classy, modern, and elegant, making it stand out on the road. In terms of performance, the diesel engine delivers excellent mileage. On cruise control, I have achieved between 26–28 kmpl, which is remarkable. The overall driving experience is smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable. The exterior styling is equally amazing, giving it a premium and timeless look. Overall, the Honda City has been a reliable and stylish companion, and I am truly happy with this car. Personally i have facelifted 2014 model to 2018 for my satisfaction.

2012 Honda City Automatic – My First Car (3-Month Ownership Review) I bought this car in June 2025 for ₹2.5 lakh. I’m the second owner, and this is also my very first car. It had 1,19,475 km on the odometer, and in just 3 months I’ve already driven 5,000 km (now at 1,25,020 km). Extremely comfortable – I’ve done 500 km in a single day multiple times. Automatic gearbox makes city driving effortless and highway cruising smooth. Highly reliable – even at 13 years old, it hasn’t needed a single repair. Just routine oil-change service, and it still drives flawlessly. I know this machine is built to rev up to 7,000 rpm and is fun to drive, but I prefer safety and comfort. Since I mostly travel with my family, I keep my speeds at 80–90 km/h. The only negative is the low ground clearance. Big speed breakers sometimes scrape the underbody, but I’ve learned to handle them slowly and diagonally to avoid damage. I live in Nashik, Maharashtra, where there’s no 15-year limit, so I can renew the RC in 2027 for another 5 years and continue enjoying this machine. Overall: You really don’t need to spend a fortune to own a safe, reliable, and fun-to-drive car. A well-kept 13-year-old Honda City for just ₹2–3 lakh can still give you all the comfort, joy, and peace of mind you’d expect from a much newer car. Bonus Fact: Its E20 Complient!!!

What draws me most to the Honda City is its i-VTEC engine, which offers a perfect balance of power and efficiency.
