Honda
City
Summary
The Honda City is highly regarded for its spacious and comfortable interior, smooth driving experience, and fuel efficiency. Users appreciate its elegant design and advanced features, making it a favored choice for families and commuters. However, some concerns include low ground clearance, which can cause scraping on speed bumps, and a dated interior design with limited under-thigh support in the rear seats. Overall, it remains a strong contender in the sedan segment, balancing practicality with a touch of luxury.

"Honda City wale dobara Honda City hi lete hain" ka chalta firta udharan hun mai. I owned a 2009 Honda City V MT, which I sold in 2023, and have recently purchased a 2019 Honda City ZX MT from CARS24. It has always been the most sensible C-segment sedan in the Indian car market, boasting the best 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, which feels like it has been engineered by God Himself. The car pulls in any band of the rev range, as if it's trying to hunt something, and can turn into a docile cat if you want a quiet and peaceful drive. If anyone complains about the space and comfort in the car, they have probably lost their mind. And yes, I'm biased because it stems from a place of logic and experience. So, is it really a "bias"? Go figure.

I love the Honda city. It's got a muted classic look amongst the sea of buff and overly dramatised exteriors of most other cars. It's comfortable both for the driver and as a chauffeur driven car. For my sedate driving style it's just great. Whatever it does, it's done it right. Plus, I am still someone who likes sedans and this feels like a good sedan for my budget.

I like Honda city most. This was my first car ( though pre owned) and it feels so spacious inside and Honda engines are reliable and durable for long duration. Also unlike other cars in same category, I feel Honda city is elegant and status symbol regardless of price. Finally superb ride quality in Honda city is a big plus.

Perforamce is a sector you can't complain about HONDA CITY. Loved my experience with it. Bought it in 2016 and still looks like brand new from interiors, exteriors to engine performance. It was my first sedan and it made me fall in love with this category. Will definitely go for sedan for the next time too.

I'm a very tall person , was always into sedans so when I had a chance to buy my own car , I didn't go far from my favorite daily brand Honda with it's city , I drive a 2015 top variant gen 4 city and it's the best sedan in the segment I feel, little to no engine vibration, 60k on the dash still runs like the same car I bought few years back Honda city is a great car

I have both gen 3 and gen 5, it is a testament of its solid engine, reliability and support. The car is sporty along with being a comfortable sedan, as I have both generations the evolution of the city just amazes me.

Honda city is perfect car for driving. One can feel confidence even at higher speed on sharp edges. Low maintenance compare to other similar sedan cars of the same segment.

Our experience with the Honda City 4th Gen Facelift V Manual Petrol, which my father purchased in October 2022 for 11.5 lakhs, has been very good overall. The comfort, looks, and overall aesthetics are impressive. My father has been a loyal Honda owner since 2009. Back then, he bought a Honda City 2nd Gen Facelift non-iVTEC, which we kept for 14 years. In between, in May 2012, he also purchased a Honda Brio S Manual Petrol, which we still own. It’s a small car but truly a powerhouse in its own way. When we bought the 4th Gen Facelift in 2022, we exchanged our previous City. Everything about the car has been great except for one issue that has been there from day one. The steering makes a strange noise, especially in the mornings, and it doesn’t feel as light as it should. I have also driven the 5th Gen City and the Honda Elevate, and their steering felt much better. It really seems like only our 4th Gen Facelift has this problem. We have raised this complaint with Honda several times, but the service centre experience has not been satisfying. We usually get it serviced at the Sahibabad centre, but one of the staff even told me that I was making it up, which was disappointing. After spending 11.5 lakhs on a car, why would I lie about an issue? Apart from this steering concern, the car’s performance and everything else have been excellent.

Honda City 2016 (VX(O) Manual) is a perfect car for a small family, corporate going people, people who do highway driving alot. Positive - interior and exterior looks wise (decent and never out dated), comfort and polish design, after sales service, not so expensive parts, easily available service and little mods in india. Negative - mileage, nose dip (ground clearance), not easy to drive in rough terrain (cities such as gurgaon and bad patches on roads).

The car is amazing.. Decent average but great comfort and driving experience . It’s a complete family car with a lot of space. And after knowing that honda is making E-20 complaint engines since 2009 i feel that i have made a great choice by purchasing this car in 2021.

Most comfortable car you can buy in india within this price range, ample space in rear seats too which even many SUVs lack. Only real complaint can be wind or road noise on speeds over 100km. Damping may help but I have not done it myself.

It’s feel like you drive a real sedan it’s low and good throttle response. A single car which fit perfectly in all the 3 stage of driving like when you want to drive clam it’s give mileage of 12/13 in city and 18 on highway. When you want to drive fast there’s no throttle lag it’s fit for all age people
