Mahindra Thar, for me, it's much more than just a car; it's a 'go-anywhere' machine that represents pure freedom and adventure. I have huge respect for Mahindra for building a vehicle that retains the rugged, body-on-frame DNA of its predecessors. What makes it my favourite is that it's an unapologetic, purpose-built vehicle. It's Not trying to be a soft, road-only crossover. With its 4x4 system, solid ground clearance, and tough build, it's a vehicle that gives you the confidence to tackle any terrain, which is a perfect fit for the varied and unpredictable road conditions we have in India. The 4-Star Global NCAP safety rating is also a massive plus, proving that 'rugged' and 'safe' can go hand-in-hand. Beyond its off-road capability, it has an undeniable and iconic road presence. It's one of the few vehicles on the market that has real character and makes you smile every time you look at it. It's a true lifestyle vehicle that's all about the experience of driving, and that's what makes it my top pick.

Mahindra Thar as of Now, either offroad or on road I am very impressed with its performance and The aura it carries . After introduction of 2 wheel drive, Now Thar is an all-round vehicle which is happily accepted by family section also. The more you drive it , the more you fall in love with it. I personally feels it wont get tired ever .The way it takes you to a hill station or to a farmhouse or endless kilometres of highway with gentle and permissible speeds, I love every bit of it .

The Mahindra Thar would be by favourite. 1.The silhoutte of the Thar has a very distinct road presence and grabs eyeballs anywhere you go. 2.The engine options both the petrol and Diesel have oodles of torque and plenty of power.The car though is on the heavier side which slightly negates this. 3.The Thar has a reNowed offroad capability thanks to its suspension and 4x4.It makes shirt work of bad patches of road and potholes when driving around in the city. 4.The pricing of the Thar is equally nice which makes it a wholesome package. 5.It scores a high 4 star in global Ncap safety ratings.

Thar feels special every time you take it out. People look, kids point, and the driving position is commanding. The diesel has strong pull, and 4x4 makes rough roads feel like Nothing. Ride is a bit bumpy for daily family use, but for trips, beaches, mountains and fun weekends, Nothing comes close to the feeling it gives.k

My favorite car is the Mahindra Thar(3-door) . The main reason for this are 1) It's timeless design, the wide and tall body, circular headlamps, small big wheel arches, upright windscreen and now not available convertible top. 2) It's go anywhere character, I being from a tier 3 town of bihar have mostly saw broken road or no roads at all in our locality and the ease with which the thar and it's predecessor tackled those were just mind boggling for me as a child, thus it created a special place in my heart from my childhood. 3) It's jeep DNA which it inherited in a much better price point as compared to the wrangler 4) The endless amount of modifications possible on the Thar is just awesome. Also the degree by which each and every thar could be 1 of 1 is just very stimulating and a very bip UPS for it.

My favourite has to be the Mahindra Thar. It's Not just a vehicle it's an emotion for anyone who loves driving, adventure, and the spirit of freedom on and off the road. What makes the Thar special to me is its ability to balance ruggedness with refinement. The new generation Thar retains its old-school charm and go-anywhere DNA while offering the comfort, safety, and techNology expected from a modern SUV. It's equally at home on city roads as it is on a mountain trail or a beach drive.

What I particularly like about the Thar is its clarity of purpose: the chassis, suspension and drivetrain are packaged in a way that rewards practical, hands-on motoring and also invites community interaction from accessory choices and modifications to documented off-road experiences and recovery best practices. This makes it fertile ground for deep, helpful ownership threads: service experiences, tyre choices, underbody protection, approach/departure angle considerations, long-distance comfort, and real-world fuel/servicing ecoNomics.

Thar feels rugged, powerful and fun. Bad roads, sand, hills, it just keeps going. People stare, kids smile, and every drive feels like a small adventure.

Every time you take the Mahindra Thar out, it gives a little thrill. It goes over potholes and rough paths without thinking much, engine has good pull and the new interiors feel nicer than before. Space is Not huge and mileage is average, but people buy it for the fun, the looks and that off-road feeling you don’t get in Normal cars.

The Thar's ruggedness, simple mechanical layout, and short overhangs make it a great platform for weekend adventures, while its strong owner-community and large aftermarket support make maintenance, modifications, and practical upgrades accessible. I value cars that have character and a clear role; the Thar is honest about what it is and excels at it.

From the driver’s seat, the Mahindra Thar feels fun and strong, especially on bad roads and small trails. The engine has good pull, the tall seating view is nice, and the new interiors feel much better Now.

The Mahindra Thar (new gen). Why? Because it represents more than just a car it's an experience. The Thar combines rugged charm with modern comforts. On one hand, it stays true to its old-school, go-anywhere 4x4 DNA that makes it perfect for exploring India's diverse terrains. On the other, it finally offers features, refinement, and safety that make it usable as a daily driver, something the earlier version struggled with.

If there is one car that I feel is the most exciting for me has to be the 2 Door Mahindra Thar. Mahindra has really build an amazing platform for Style, Reliability, Off road capabilities with most of the creature comforts. The aftermarket modifications make this one of the most exciting Indian cars.

The Mahindra Thar 2nd Gen feels strong and fun to drive, cabin is better Now and ride comfort has improved a lot.although the old model was more rugged but new models are refined and sleek

Though I own a Hyundai venue,I love the Mahindra Thar.Its a beast on the road and off-the-road.Can be used in any type of road conditions and given the Indian Road conditions,it's ground clearance gives an advantage over other cars.plus i dig the bright red color absolutely adore it.
