Honda Cars India Ltd, one of the biggest carmakers of the country, launched the tenth generation Civic in India in March last year. The latest sedan was introduced here in two variants - 1.8-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel. However, earlier this year, the petrol version was updated to meet the BS6 norms, while the diesel model was shelved as the company decided to update the motor at a later date. Finally, though, even the diesel version has been updated, which means the latest Honda Civic is the only D1-segment sedan, after the Hyundai Elantra, to be available in both petrol and diesel engine variants. The updated version of the company's sporty sedan features all the traits of the previous version along with also offering an updated diesel motor that causes far lesser pollution than before.
