Wagon R
Summary
The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is well-regarded for its spacious interiors, excellent fuel efficiency, and low maintenance costs, making it a practical family car. Users appreciate its reliability and ease of maneuverability in city traffic. However, concerns arise regarding its safety ratings, basic interior quality, and performance at high speeds. I own a 2014 WagonR LXI and it has been an absolute gem. Even though I rarely service it, the car has never disappointed me. Its performance is surprisingly amazing for its age — the engine feels peppy, gear shifts are smooth, and it still delivers good mileage. The compact size makes it perfect for city driving, while it’s stable enough for highway trips. The cabin is spacious and practical, offering great visibility and comfort. Overall, the WagonR has been incredibly reliable and low-maintenance, making it one of the best cars I’ve owned. Highly recommended for anyone seeking hassle-free ownership.

I love MS Wagon-R , primarily because of its outstanding practicality, user-friendly design, and exceptional reliability for daily use. Owning a Wagon R has convinced me of its strengths...it offers spacious interiors, excellent fuel efficiency (23–25 km/l), easy city maneuverability, and a robust tall-boy design that makes every commute comfortable, especially for families or taller passengers. The boot space is spacious (341 litres), making everyday tasks effortless, and maintenance costs remain low, which holds its reputation as an ideal urban hatchback.

My uncle bought a Wagon R in 2015… and believe it or not, it still runs like it just came out of the showroom. No joke, this car is not just a machine, it's a part of our family. We’ve gone on road trips, weddings, hospital emergencies, even late-night chai runs, that Wagon R has seen it all. I even learned driving in it with my uncle guiding me patiently. It’s not the fanciest, but it’s the most faithful. Mileage, comfort, low maintenance 10/10. Some memories are built inside cars… and ours were made in a Wagon R. My uncle is still #WagonRPaglu ❤🚗 #BuiltToLast

I own a 2016 WagonR and it has been a reliable companion over the years. The car offers excellent mileage, making it very economical for daily use. Its comfortable seating and smooth driving experience add to the convenience, especially for city commutes. With good ground clearance, it handles uneven roads and speed breakers effortlessly. The spacious cabin and generous headroom make it feel roomy, and the boot space is quite practical for family needs. Maintenance costs are also on the lower side, which is a plus. Overall, the 2016 WagonR is a practical, fuel-efficient, and comfortable family car. 75000+km and more to go.

I bought the wagonar in 2017 , and till now it has never disappointed me ,i took it on both short and long road trips without any issue . Took it to mountains with ease . Best budget car , low maintan3nc3, easy parts availability, easy working with makes it ultra reliable. Performance is good ,it does not feel under power as the car is very feather like. Love the musics system, just the doors vibrate but at 6 lakhs(in 2017, post tax),it was the best decision i made

As a Wagon R owner, I can say that the car has been a great value for money. It is fuel-efficient, easy to maintain and drive, and spacious enough for a small family. The boot could have been bigger but it is still enough for a week's worth of groceries. Overall, I'm very happy with my Wagon R.

The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R has been a reliable companion for me. Its compact design makes it easy to maneuver through city traffic, and the spacious interior is a pleasant surprise. The fuel efficiency is impressive, making it budget-friendly for daily commutes. While it may not be the most stylish car on the road, its practicality and affordability make it a sensible choice for those looking for a no-nonsense, value-for-money vehicle.

WagonR is truly a versatile car. It is a great family car, with spacious interiors and enough boot space, with extra space on the top as well for your fully packed long trips. Performance wise, it features a 1000cc engine, which performs quite above expected, although it takes a hit when the AC is turned on as expected. Overall, very recommended if you have a family and don't have a high budget and can compromise on the looks a little bit.

I have used Wagon r lxi cng 1.1L 2007 previously, now I have 1.0L wagon r vxi petrol since 3 years, which im reviewing. Definitely lots of space, AC works well, I even don't feel a difference in performance on AC on or off while driving. Just on idle, rpm increases and vibration is reduced with AC on. Engine is very refined, impressively engineered, capable of both city and highway performance. Steering feedback is not very good TBH, but not bad either. Braking is also good in this car. Power to weight ratio is good. I have loaded the car with full capacity and never felt any issues on multiple 500km highway trips. Even chased flagship cars on highway at 100 or 120 and most of the times, my car proved that mhari Wagon R kisi G Wagon se kam hai ke?!, successfully and effortlessly crossed other cars with heavy engines on high speeds. Given the size, the car is very light weight. If you are on a street side, and a big vehicle passes by, the car is shaken up. thats a negative side of the less weight. Bumpers are very big issue that i feel in this car. It misaligns even on small impact, and the front part is so light that it bends by hand only, damaging condenser and radiator easily. This should have been a bit more rigid. cosmetic modification possibilities seem to be endless. Connectivity is not that much, but car offers emotional connectivity to a great extent. you can manifest so many modifications (Beautifications) for your car and wont be able to satisfy yourself in the whole 15 years lmao. Features are pretty basic, simple, keeping it least complex but easily maintainable car. Though external accessories and fitment has lot of scope, and the car supports them as well. Headlights are halogen, pretty basic and low, good to upgrade to led or hid for better visibility in night. Ground clearance is around 165m, decent enough if driven carefully. Not meant for heavy offroading, but society nagar nigam road potholes are easily tackled. Overall, still a value for money, practical and spacious family car. Looks were not so great but since windsor, syros, exter have been launched, this car started looking much more beautiful to me. Interior is decent thanks to dual tone. Gates have big enough pockets for 1L bottles, which Can be taken out even when gates are closed, unlike the legend fortuner lol (yes im flexing!). SOme cons are there but if you loose an argument, MILEAGEEEEEE....!! my 1L petrol beauty has given me a freaking 28.6kmpl on eastern peripheral expressway with full load of 5 people and whole family luggage stuffed, given that the speed was under 70kmph. Usually it gives 15-17 kmpl in city (slightly long run, say 12-13 km in one stretch), 12-13 kmpl in short 2-3 km stretch, and 20-25 kmpl in highway on XP95 petrol. After implementation of e20 fuel, the mileage is a bit lower. I could fetch 17-19 kmpl on 500km highway trip. Though Im experimenting mileage difference in xp95 fuel for sometime now, which I'll compare with the regular fuel. I'm also available for a detailed video review of my wagon r so far. Pls contact if needed. At last, as a proud YOUNG wagon R owner, I'll say, Pros are many, cons are a few, even after 3 years, my car feels new.

I really love my Wagon R VXI CNG, My dad decided to but it ofc like a typical dad but oh boy i was sold as soon as i get into the car i saw no flaws it looks amazing from front very spacious and comfortable. Everything a car should have. And trust me it’s so fast, i am a skinny guy and i mostly drive it alone so no more added weight like in this video. It feels so fast and responsive just floor the pedal and it zoooms out!! It’s really an amazing car overall. We own a 2015 Wagonr LXI and first of all it was the most value for money car at that time.If we consider space and comfort (for 4), its one of the best. Even tall adults are comfortable. It is also really easy to drive for new drivers and good enough power with exceptional fuel efficiency. We have the LXI model so features are quite limited but higher variants have good enough features. It is a car which does not deserve the hate for being 'tin ka dabba' and a taxi.

I own a 2019 Wagon R ZXI MT model which clocked almost 112000 kms. Interior space and all gives a suv experience and can manage speeds upto 100 it should be the limit otherwise only god can save us 😅. Can feel body roll after 100+ speeds mileage is pretty good which maruti is known for. We generally travel 4 people at speeds of 80 on a highway it manages to give around 22 to 24 ( shown on infotainment ). Can expect 20+ mileage most of the time unless you go above 2500rpm at speeds of 100+. And in city traffic 15 is minimum with AC ON all the time. And maintainance is not that much we give servicing every 8 months once it about to complete 10k kms, general check up will be done whenever needed. A good family car fulfills all kind of needs of family. Boot space is huge of course. It performs well in hilly areas but definitely miss the 6th gear to cruise at less rpm even at higher speeds ( 100). One more thing if my car photos are used for posting anywhere kindly erase the number plate 😊😇. Thank you

The tall body makes getting in and out very easy, cabin space feels surprisingly big, and the mileage is quite impressive for daily office runs or school pickups. The engine is simple and low-maintenance, and service cost stays friendly on the pocket. It is very easy to park in tight colony roads, and visibility is wide. Only thing some people Notice is that the car leans a bit when taking fast turns, but overall it’s a reliable, budget-friendly family hatchback.

Wagon R is tall, easy to drive, and perfect for tight city parking. Families like the big boot and good mileage. Engine is reliable and cheap to maintain. Only thing, high speed stability is Not great on highways, but for city life it is a No tension car.

My father owns a 2022 Wagon R vxi that he bought for office commute and for local drives, however we started using this car Long drives. During one such long drive, we hit a horse with our 6 days old Brand New Wagon R in the middle of the highway at over 100km/h(Nothing happened to the horse as it ran away normally). The car was however very much damaged from the front(mainly the driver side),some parts such as fog lamps and bumper was left behind during the crash however none of us had a single scratch in our body. The car even after suffering from a severe crash the car took us home safely which was about 95 km s away from where we crashed with remaining one headlight. The car did not have any engine issues during and after the crash and its still in TIP-TOP condition after 3 years. Thus our Wagon R won our heart through this incident.
