When I began the search for my new car, I was narrowed in towards Seltos. It was March 2021, and the current facelift of Seltos was months away. And then Hyundai announced its next gen Verna, and I was blown away. The renders looked too futuristic to be true, and I told myself, if all the cuts and creases of the production variant look like this, I will buy it. And that's how I ended up buying Verna 2023 facelift, SX(O) variant. Hyundai has done an excellent job at converting renders to actual production vehicle. Here are 5 things I love about the car: 1. Feature loaded: The top end is loaded with all the features one can think of- 10+ inch infotainment screen, ambient lighting, electronically adjustable seats, ventilated seats, sunroof, Bose speaker setup and what not. 2. ADAS level 2: The ADAS features of the car work perfectly. The feature comes in extremely handy when you are on a highway, which has marked lanes 3. Comfort: Verna is one of the most comfortable cars in the mass market segment, under 20 lac. Be it the front seats, the back seats, armrest, ride quality, cabin noise levels, AC, spacious seating, all result in a very very comfortable ride 4. Exterior Looks: Well Verna 2023 gets polarising reviews about the front looks. I of-course love how futuristic and low to the ground it looks from the front. The back look Verna that has won hearts of everyone, so no issues there. 5. Safety: With all the ADAS features, 6 airbags and other safety features, Verna got a 5 star rating in crash test, which is just an icing on the cake, the entire package that is very well put together. Overall, I have had a great experience over the last 2 years with Verna 2023 facelift, and its an easy recommendation from my end. Sharing some pics from the delivery day at the dealership :)

Of all the cars currently on sale in India, the Hyundai Verna diesel stands out as my absolute favourite. It perfectly blends performance, comfort, and efficiency in a way that few cars manage today. The engine delivers strong, consistent torque that makes every overtake smooth and confidence-inspiring, while still returning impressive fuel economy on long highway runs. The chassis feels planted at high speeds, and the suspension tuning strikes a great balance between absorbing rough patches and keeping the drive engaging. Inside, it offers a well-designed, comfortable cabin that makes even long journeys a pleasure. For me, the Verna is a car that manages to be practical for daily use, thrilling on open roads, and refined enough to feel premium all in one package.

Although it may seem biased as I own it, I would say I own the Hyundai Verna 1.5 turbo BECAUSE I believe it is one of the best and arguable the most VFM car on the market today. It has trailblazing looks, fantastic performance, underrated dynamics and oodles of features. Now packaged in 5 star safety and boasting excellent comfort, all while undercutting the competitors in price by a Not so insignificant margin make it the perfect package for a lot of consumers.

The Hyundai Verna reason is simple, its a car that satisfies both the heart and the head. I first considered the Verna after reading the detailed official team-bhp review, and a couple of ownership reports that described its strengths and weaknesses honestly. When I test drive it, I could immediately connect with the way it combined performance and refinement. The turbo-petrol variant especially impressed me, it made highway runs feel effortless, with plenty of power on tap, while still maintaining excellent refinement inside the cabin. The insulation is so good that long drives become genuinely fatigue-free, something I value a lot. Inside, the Verna feels like it belongs to a class above. The ventilated seats were a blessing during one of my long summer drives, and the connected features made road trips even more convenient. Yet it remains practical, fuel efficiency is respectable, the boot can handle family luggage with ease, and hyundai service network gives peace of mind for longer journeys. For me, the Verna stands out because it doesnt force you to choose between driving pleasure and practicality.
