Test out your newly acquired ride for 7 days, or 500 km, and get a real feel of it behind the steering wheel. This allows you to get a feel for the vehicle, just like a trial period, and helps instil confidence in your purchase. If you’re not happy with your used car, bring it back, and get your money back.

Here’s how it works:

Once you buy a car, you have 7 days to test it at your convenience. Check if it suits your needs, runs smoothly, and most importantly, feels right for you. Drive it on your usual routes to assess the suspension, play your favourite music, and treat it like your own.

  • If you're not satisfied, just bring the car back within 7 days of delivery.
  • Our team will inspect the vehicle to ensure it’s in the same condition as when it was sold.
  • Once everything checks out, we’ll arrange a pickup and issue a refund within 2 working days.
  • We encourage you to thoroughly (but carefully!) test your new car during this period. Drive on your regular routes, get your family in, and try everything from the suspension to the sound system. It’s all yours!

Terms and conditions for CARS24 7-day return

  • A return request must be made within 7 days of the car’s delivery
  • If the vehicle has been in an accident, or is modified, altered, or damaged, the return policy will not apply. The car must be returned in the condition it was delivered, so please take care!
  • The car should not have been driven more than 500 km from the delivery date.

Frequently asked questions

When will my payment be processed if I return my car within 7 days?arrow

The payment will be processed within 2 working days from the accepted date of return once the inspection of the car is completed and everything is as it was before. 

Can I buy another car after I return the car under the 7-day return policy?arrow

Yes, once your return has been processed, you can choose to buy another car from us, and we would love to deliver it to you! However, you may only return 3 cars during this trial in order to be fair to our community.

What will the refund payment method be?arrow

Regardless of how you paid at the time of purchase, all refunds are processed online. If you made your payment online, your original method of payment will get the refund.

What if there’s an accessory missing at the time of refund or pick-up?arrow

If there’s any change in the vehicle’s condition at the time, or an accessory missing with respect to the checklist you signed during purchase, that amount will be deducted, and the rest of the amount will be refunded. This amount will be decided by our technical team.

What if I face an issue with my car after 7 daysarrow

Rest assured, we’ve taken utmost care to make sure that this will not be the case - each car listed on the platform goes through rigorous testing and inspection. In any case, you don’t need to worry - each car comes with a warranty, so you can get it repaired for free from our authorised partners.
