Skoda Enyaq iV
The Skoda Enyaq iV is an all-electric SUV that has been spotted testing in India many times. Also, the carmaker has been quite vocal about it being an upcoming launch. As Skoda's first electric offering in the country, the Enyaq iV is expected to arrive as a premium alternative to other electric SUVs. Built on Volkswagen's MEB platform, it offers a spacious cabin, high-tech features, and an impressive range. Skoda India is likely to introduce the Enyaq as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) initially. However, local assembly is possible in the future in case of high demand. Competing with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6, the Skoda Enyaq launch in India could happen in late 2026 . It will bring a mix of European design and VW’s globally successful EV technology. The Skoda Enyaq price in India is expected to be around ₹50-55 lakh (ex-showroom). As a premium electric SUV, it will compete with models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. The on-road price will vary based on state taxes, insurance, registration fees, and state subsidies. Initially, Skoda may launch the Enyaq as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), which could influence pricing. With qualities such as a long-range battery, advanced features, and European design, the Enyaq iV could very well attract many luxury EV buyers.
The Skoda Enyaq Specs in India are expected to match the global model. Hence, it will likely feature a 77 kWh battery with a range of up to 500 km (WLTP). Internationally, it offers rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) variants, with power outputs ranging from 201 hp to 295 hp. The SUV supports fast charging - It can achieve 10-80% charge in around 30 minutes. Key features include a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital cockpit, panoramic sunroof, and advanced Level-2 ADAS safety suite. With its premium cabin, spacious design, and high-tech features, the Enyaq will be a strong contender in the premium EV market in India.
The Skoda Enyaq will compete with premium electric SUVs in India. The rivals will primarily include the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and BMW iX1 LWB. However, given its size and performance, it could even give strong competition to costlier models such as the Volvo XC40 Recharge and Mercedes-Benz EQA.
