Upcoming Toyota Cars in India 2023-24

20 Sept 2024
Outline

The name Toyota instantly brings a smile to anyone who owns or has travelled in a car from the iconic brand. Bringing everything to the party, including comfort, reliability, power, performance, and affordability, Toyota is a car manufacturer that deserves all the praise it gets. For decades, Toyota has delivered some of the best cars in the country, and suffice it to say that we can't wait for their upcoming launches. So far, Toyota only has three upcoming cars in India, and we'll take a closer look at all of them in this blog post on the upcoming Toyota cars in India 2023:

1. Toyota Belta

Among the most important upcoming Toyota cars in India in 2023 is the Belta, which will mark the carmaker's re-entry into the sedan segment. The Belta will be based on the Ciaz, similar to how the Glanza is based on the Baleno. It will be produced at Suzuki's facility in Gujarat. Compared to the Ciaz, the Belta is likely to have a slightly different interior upholstery and, maybe, a few extra features. However, it will look almost entirely like the donor model, with the only difference arising out of the badges. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that will benefit from mild hybrid technology. The launch date is likely to fall in the second quarter of this year.

Just like the Belta, the Rumion will be based on a Maruti Suzuki product. In this case, the donor car will be the Ertiga MPV.

The new model will have the same 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine that powers the donor model. Also, it will have similar features and even look almost exactly the same.
