Eligibility Criteria

To maintain high standards of transparency and to avoid confusion, disputes, and unpleasant surprises for buyers, our Lifetime Warranty Plan comes with clearly defined eligibility criteria. To qualify for the LTW program, the following conditions must be met:

• Vehicle Age & Mileage: The car must be a Cars24-Owned vehicle, with age less than or equal to 12 years, with an odometer reading of less than 1,50,000 km
• Service History: To keep the coverage active, the buyer must undertake all annual services (every 6 months or 6,000 km) at a Cars24-certified workshops
• Renewal: To maintain service quality and ensure long-term warranty support, the LTW comes with a nominal annual renewal fee.

• Non-Transferable: To prevent misuse and to ensure the warranty coverage matches the original owner’s usage, the Lifetime Warranty Plan is non-transferable in nature.

   

What Is Covered

The Lifetime Warranty Plan is designed to provide complete long-term protection to the most vital components of your vehicle for up to 12 years or 1,50,000 km (whichever comes first):

• Engine Assembly: Cylinder Block, Cylinder Head, Engine Block Assembly, Crankshaft, Connecting Rods, Bearings (Big/Small End), Thrust Washers, Pistons, Piston Rings, Gudgeon Pins, Camshaft, Cam Bearings, Rocker Arms, Tappets, Inlet & Exhaust Valves, Valve Springs, Guides, Timing Crank Sprocket, Slide Rail, Camshaft Sprocket, Head Plug, Oil Pump, Sump, Water Pump, and Vacuum Pump (excluding seals).
• Transmission: Coverage extending to both manual and automatic gearboxes, including Shafts, Counter Shaft Gears, Input Shaft Gears, Synchromesh Hubs & Rings, Bearings, Selectors, Planetary Gear Sets, Servo Rings, Oil Pump, Drive Plate, Output Shafts, and Bearings.

• Drivetrain: Key components like the Front & Rear Differential Housings, Rear Axles, Transfer-Case Housing, Front Drive Axles, Propeller Shaft, and Universal Joint.

   

What is Not Covered?

To keep the warranty fair and reasonable and to ensure a transparent process, certain exclusions fall outside the scope of the LTW. These include:

• Wear and Tear Components: Items like oil, filters, brake pads, tyres, belts, and clutch plates are excluded
• External Damage: Cosmetic bodywork, paint, glass, or damage caused by accidents, floods, or fire.
• Non-Powertrain Electronics: Electrical components not related to the powertrain are not covered under warranty

• Commercial Use: The warranty does not apply to taxis, fleets, or rental vehicles.

   

Policy Violations and Rejections

To ensure fairness, prevent misuse, and eliminate fraudulent or improper claims, the LTW is subject to certain policy violations that may void the warranty agreement. 

Claim Filing Process

To reduce customer stress during breakdowns and to foster trust in the warranty, the Lifetime Warranty Plan comes with an easy 4-step claim-filing process, with zero paperwork involvement. 

1. Claim Filing: Buyer submits the warranty claim via the Cars24 App or Helpline
2. Inspection: The vehicle is inspected at the nearest certified workshop to ensure eligibility, coverage and validity.
3. Repair: Cashless repairs are carried out at a Cars24-authorised workshop using OEM or equivalent parts.

4. Drive: Buyer is notified as soon as the vehicle is ready for delivery.
