Tata iRA Subscription Plans & Validity

When you purchase a new, iRA-enabled car, Tata provides their iRA range connected car services as part of the car. The package covers the full range of connected services subscription, such as remote controls, crash notifications, diagnostics and infotainment updates.

Subscription Details:

• Free for the first 1 year:
  Most new cars that are equipped with the system now come with 1 year of free access to iRA by Tata.
   
• Post 1 year:
  Owners are required to renew the iRA subscription to retain cloud-based services such as remote access, OTA updates, and app sync. The pricing was initially set at ₹3,500 but has now been reduced to ₹1,999 for 1 year. 
   
• How to renew:
  The renewal can be done through the Tata Motors app, the Tata Motors service app, or through authorised Tata service centres.
   
• What happens if you don’t renew?
  After the subscription expires, the functions that demand live data, like vehicle tracking, remote immobilisation, and delivery of software updates, will stop working. But basic car features will stay unaffected.

Note: When buying used TATA cars, you should see whether the iRA system is active, and confirm if you can transfer or renew the subscription under your ownership.

Is Tata iRA Active in Used TATA Cars?

Yes, it is possible to continue using Tata iRA features in a used TATA car on the condition that the variant has this functionality and the previous customer has de-linked their account in the Tata Motors app.

To activate the iRA in a used Tata:

• Confirm that the variant has iRA (Creative+, XZ+, etc.)
• Ensure the Tata Motors app or the Tata car app can be re-linked to your mobile
• Visit a Tata service centre if the system needs a reset or re-pairing
