I recently test drove the Citroen Basalt and it completely blew my mind on how a car of that size can balance both comfort and handling while Not compromising on power(referring to the 1.2L Turbo AT together with that amazing twisted beam suspension and chassis). I feel that it is the best car for our roads in the current market and just hope Citroen improves their sales and service network.

I recently drove the Citroen Basalt at their Gurugram dealership (one of my choices before finally settling down for Honda Amaze). The car is definitely underappreciated in the market due to limited dealerships and service network and has not been able to attract the clients that they deserve. The following are my list of some basic Pros & cons. Pros: -the overall ride quality was good due to great suspension setup -the adjustable thigh support thing was unique in the segment -the external apperance of the car looks better than Tata Curvv (Both Coupe Style) - the AC performace was the best in segment. Cons: -interior plastics looked less premium -limited service network (Although dealership people assured us of service through expansion in future) -some basic features were missing which are present in almost every other car in the indian market.

Citroen Basalt X is my favourite because of its coupe shape ,price and premium interiors. Its shape is futuristic as the consumer will get bored with suvs they will get fascinated by coupe shape as it also has good ground clearance. The 1.2 litre turbo engine is very powerful and the suspension is well tuned to give a comfortable ride.Fuel ecoNomy is also good and the torque on offer is the best in this price segment.
