The Kona Electric was the first electric SUV from Hyundai Motor India Ltd. It stood out with its EV-specific design, characterized by sleek lines and a closed grille. The interior of the Kona Electric offered a comfortable and practical cabin, equipped with modern features. This model played a significant role in helping the carmaker kickstart its electrification journey in India. The Kona was finally replaced with Creta Electric in early 2025.
The Hyundai Kona Electric had a last recorded ex-showroom price ranging from ₹ 23.8 lakh to ₹ 24.0 lakh in India. For buyers in Delhi and Mumbai, the on-road price was approximately ₹ 24.7 lakh to ₹ 24.9 lakh. This pricing positioned the Kona Electric as a slightly more expensive alternative to the MG ZS EV, which was its only direct rival in the market.
