Kia India recently launched a facelifted version of the Carens MPV in India, with a starting price of Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). An electric version of the MPV is also in the pipeline, and a recent press release from the carmaker confirms that the same will be launched in July 2025. As confirmed by Kia India in its latest sales release, the 2025 Kia Carens Clavis EV launch in India will take place in the month of July 2025, though the exact date of launch is yet to be disclosed. 

Expected 2025 Kia Carens Clavis EV price in India

Prices for the Kia Carens Clavis EV are expected to start somewhere in the neighbourhood of Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will have no direct competitors as such on launch.

Kia Clavis EV design

As suggested by multiple spy shots that have been circulating over the web, the design of the Carens Clavis EV would more or less be similar to that of its ICE counterpart. Expected changes include a new set of aero alloy wheels, a closed front grille, and EV-specific badges on various exterior panels.

Kia Carens EV powertrain details

The MPV is likely to borrow its powertrain options from the Hyundai Creta Electric, which include a 135PS electric motor paired to a 42kWh battery pack, and a 171PS electric motor paired to a larger 51.4kWh battery pack. Claimed MIDC-range for both the powertrains stand at 390km and 473km respectively.

Expected key features of the electric MPV include a Level-2 ADAS suite, 360-degree cameras, V2V and V2L capabilities, dual-cam dashcam, TPMS, ESC, powered and ventilated front seats, and more.
