2025 Kia Carens Clavis revealed — Design, engine options, features, and more

Kia India has revealed a facelifted version of the Kia Carens MPV that it has christened as the Kia Carens Clavis. The Clavis comes in a variety of variants and powertrain options, and is expected to be sold alongside the pre-facelifted Kia Carens. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2025 Kia Carens Clavis including its engine options, features, and design details.

Kia Carens Clavis design

While the side profile of the car remains largely unchanged over the Kia Carens, except for the alloy wheel design, there are noticeable changes at the front and the rear. There are reprofiled bumpers, a sharper design for the front lights, and connected tail lights.

Ditching the rather elegant dashboard design of the Carens, the Clavis gets a dual-screen setup, a slim tab for the HVAC controls, and a new two-spoke steering wheel. Key features of the Clavis include foldable trays in the second row, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, powered driver’s seat, and more. Key Kia Carens Clavis safety features include a Level-2 ADAS suite with functions such as forward collision warning and lane keep assist, six airbags, ESC, vehicle stability management, and more.

Kia Carens Clavis engine options

The Clavis comes with the same engine options as the Carens. The turbo-petrol is now available with a manual transmission as well. Detailed specifications of the powertrains are given in the table below.

Kia Carens Clavis variants

The Clavis will be offered in seven variants — HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+ (O), and HTX+. The first six are only available in a seven seater configuration, while the last one is available in both six and seven seater layouts.

Kia Carens Clavis colours 

The Kia Carens Clavis colour options include Ivory Silver Gloss, Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Gray, Sparkling Silver, Aurora Black Pearl, and Clear White.

New Kia Carens Clavis price in India

Prices for the Kia Carens Clavis are expected to be revealed in June 2025. Delivery timelines are yet to be confirmed.

2025 Kia Carens Clavis bookings

Bookings for the Carens Clavis shall commence at 0000 hours on May 9, 2025. Booking amount has been set as Rs 25,000.
