2025 Volkswagen Golf GTI launched at Rs 53 lakh — All details inside

The new 2025 Volkswagen Golf GTI has been launched in India at a price of Rs 53 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be imported into the country through the CBU route and sold in limited batches. The first batch will include 150 units, and depending on the demand, a second batch of 100 units may follow.

New Volkswagen Golf GTI exterior & dimensions

The Volkswagen Golf GTI carries the brand’s signature look, with key design highlights like IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, an illuminated VW logo at the front edge of the bonnet, a wide honeycomb grille and a GTI badge in red. At the rear, it features stylish LED tail lamps, twin chrome exhaust tailpipes, roof spoiler, and a shark-fin antenna. It also rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.

The VW Golf GTI dimensions are 4289mm in length, 1789mm in width, and 1471mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2627mm and a ground clearance of 136mm. The boot space is 380-litres, which can be expanded up to 1237-litres.

2025 Volkswagen Golf GTI features

The 2025 VW Golf GTI comes with an impressive features list, including a 12.91-inch infotainment touchscreen, wired and wireless App-Connect for Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro, wireless charging, start-stop system with battery regeneration, three-zone climate control, and a steering wheel that can be adjusted for both height and reach, among other bits.

On the safety side, it gets Level 2 ADAS with 20 features. Some of the key ones include dynamic headlight range control, dynamic cornering lights, multifunction camera, advanced driver attention alert, drowsiness monitor, hill start assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop & go.

Volkswagen Golf GTI engine & top speed

The new 2025 VW Golf GTI is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol engine that delivers 267PS of power and 370Nm of torque. It is paired with a seven-speed DSG gearbox.

The new Volkswagen Golf GTI top speed is claimed to be 250kmph while the 0-100 time is under 5.8 seconds.
