The 2025 Volkswagen Taigun spy shots give us a sneak peek into the key changes the updated SUV is likely to offer. Read the story further to know more about the upcoming 2025 Volkswagen Taigun facelift.
2025 Volkswagen Taigun facelift design updates
The first images of the Taigun facelift reveal the front and rear profiles wrapped under heavy camouflage, hiding the key changes. Up front, the new Taigun is likely to feature an updated set of LED headlights flanking an updated radiator grille along with a possible LED strip connecting the headlights. Around the side, the new Taigun facelift is likely to feature a new set of alloy wheels and at the rear, we can expect an updated set of LED tail lights and reprofiled bumpers. Since it’s a facelift, we do not expect any sheet metal changes or major design overhaul.

2025 Volkswagen Taigun facelift features
On the features front, while the Taigun comes with a slew of features, it misses out on a few that are offered in the competition. Some of these features include a panoramic sunroof, advanced driving assistance systems, soft touch dashboard and surround view camera. While we do not expect Volkswagen to introduce a panoramic sunroof with the Taigun facelift, features such as a new dashboard with soft touch materials, Level-2 ADAS and surround view camera could be expected.
Upcoming Volkswagen Taigun facelift powertrain details
The Volkswagen Taigun comes with two engine options — a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The Kushaq 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine option generates 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque. This engine is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine delivers 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). We expect Volkswagen to continue with the same set of engine and transmission options with the Taigun facelift.

Upcoming Volkswagen Taigun facelift launch timeline
Given the appearance of the Taigun facelift on test, we expect Volkswagen India to launch the Taigun facelift around the festive season this year. We expect its Czech cousin, the Kushaq to get updated first since it was the one that was launched first, followed closely by the Taigun. Needless to say, the upcoming update to the Taigun will also result in a small price change across variants.
