Ahead of the New Mini Cooper Convertible market launch in December 2025, the carmaker has already started taking pre-bookings for the model. Mini still has only ten dealerships in India, so early interest is likely to concentrate quickly.
The new Cooper Convertible uses the hard-top version as its base. It keeps the same lively character but adds the roof-down charm. Under the hood sits a 2.0L turbo petrol engine, and the cabin carries a full list of features that match the latest Mini lineup.

New Mini Cooper Convertible bookings open
The New Mini Cooper Convertible pre bookings can be completed either online through the brand’s official page or offline at one of the Mini dealerships in India. As mentioned earlier, there are currently only ten dealerships in the country. They are located in Delhi, Gurugram, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kochi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.
2026 Mini Cooper Convertible dimensions & boot space
The Mini Cooper Convertible dimensions measure 3879mm in length, 1431mm in height, and 1970mm in width. It comes with a four-seat configuration. With all four seats in place, the boot offers 215 litres of space. Fold down just one rear seat, and the boot expands to 440 litres. If you drop the 50/50 split rear seats, you can create up to 665 litres of cargo space, giving you plenty of room for larger loads or weekend plans.
The fully electric soft top opens in just 20 seconds, and it can even operate while driving at speeds up to 30 km/h.
Mini Cooper Convertible features
The new Mini Cooper Convertible interior comes loaded with a 9.4-inch circular display with high-quality glass, a leather-free steering wheel, a head-up display, and a toggle Bar to control everything from gear selection to audio volume. It also features ambient lighting, Harman Kardon premium sound system, wireless charging pad, and 2D knit dashboard, among others.
Other highlights include LED headlamps and taillights, 16- to 18-inch alloy wheels, powered front seats, a rearview camera, multiple airbags, brake assist, TPMS, and the ADAS bundle for better driver support, as well as additional features.

Under the hood, the 2026 Mini Cooper Convertible comes equipped with a 2.0 litre TwinPower turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine. It is paired exclusively with a seven-speed Steptronic automatic transmission with a double clutch. The engine produces 204PS and 300Nm of torque, delivering strong performance for its size. The new "Mini Cooper Convertible top speed is claimed to be 237 km/h, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds.
