After a long break that began in 2022, the Renault Duster is finally back in India in its third generation. The comeback matters. This isn’t just a facelift or a quiet return. The SUV now carries a much bolder, more rugged design and a powertrain strategy.
The new model will be offered with petrol engines but the real talking point is the addition of strong hybrid options. When it comes to timelines, expect a staggered rollout. The 2026 Duster delivery schedule will vary by variant with petrol versions reaching customers earlier than the hybrid trims.
Additionally, the new Renault duster pre booking process is already live across India. Interested buyers don’t need to wait for showroom arrivals to secure a spot in the queue.

2026 Renault Duster booking open

Renault has opened the new Renault Duster pre-booking window across India. While the exact variant names are yet to be revealed, interested buyers can still reserve a spot by choosing their preferred engine option.
At this stage, Renault is offering three powertrain choices to book against. These include the 1.0L turbo-petrol (turbo TCe 100), the 1.3L turbo-petrol (turbo TCe 160), and the strong hybrid E-Tech setup built around a 1.8L petrol engine.
To place a booking, head to Renault’s official Duster page. Once the page opens, you’ll find the pre-booking option at the top right. Clicking it takes you to a simple form where you enter the required details, select the engine option, and confirm the booking. The process is straightforward and doesn’t take long.
New Renault Duster delivery timeline

The Renault Duster 2026 delivery timelines show a clear split based on engine choice. If you’re opting for one of the two turbo-petrol variants, deliveries are scheduled to begin around mid-April. The strong hybrid variant will take longer. Renault plans to start its deliveries around Diwali 2026, which falls on November 8 this year.

Next-gen Renault Duster engine options
Under the hood, the new Renault Duster offers multiple petrol powertrain options. Starting with the smaller unit, there’s a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 100PS and 160Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Stepping up, Renault also offers a more powerful 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 163PS and 280Nm, which comes exclusively with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT).

Additionally, the Duster is available with a strong-hybrid petrol setup based on a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine producing 109PS. This is complemented by a 49PS electric motor powered by a 1.4 kWh battery pack. According to Renault, the hybrid system is designed to be both responsive and efficient, with up to 80% of city driving possible in electric mode alone.
