All Kia Carens variants discontinued except for one — Know details inside

Since the updated Kia Carens Clavis—essentially a facelifted version of the Carens—has been unveiled, Kia India has discontinued all the variants of the current Carens on sale, except for one variant. Read on to know more about the Kia Carens variant on sale along with its price and other details.

Kia Carens variants discontinued

Prior to the Carens Clavis update, the Kia Carens was offered in a total of nine variants — Premium, Premium (O), Gravity, Prestige, Prestige (O), Prestige Plus, Prestige Plus (O), Luxury Plus, and X-Line. Currently, Kia India only offers the Carens in a single Premium (O) variant, making it miss out on a slew of features and automatic transmission options. The 2025 Kia Carens price now starts from Rs 11.41 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

As we mentioned earlier, the Kia Carens is now only available in the Premium (O) variant with the standard 7-seater configuration. This variant can be specced with three engine options — 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.5-litre turbo petrol. The former two engines come with a 6-speed manual transmission whereas the turbo petrol engine comes with a 6-speed iMT. These engines do not offer the torque converter and dual-clutch automatic transmission options that are now available with the Carens Clavis,

2025 Kia Carens features

Since the Carens is now available in a sole Premium (O) variant, it understandably comes with a limited set of features. These include six airbags, ESC, all four disc brakes, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electronically adjustable outside mirrors, semi-leatherette seats, digital instrument cluster, one-touch easy tumble for the second row, 6-speakers and more. However, it misses out on features such as ventilated seats, TFT instrument cluster, larger touchscreen infotainment system, ambient lighting, cruise control and more.

Lasly, the 2025 Kia Carens colours include seven colour options: white, grey, red, green, silver, black and blue. The interior comes in a single black and beige colour option.
