Honda City and City Hybrid new price list announced — Prices slashed by up to Rs 57,500

Along with updates to the Elevate and Amaze, Honda has also announced the Honda City new price range. The sedan now gets a price cut of up to Rs 57,500, depending on the variant. On the hybrid front, the City hybrid price has dropped by Rs 41,790. If you’ve been eyeing either version, this revised pricing could make your decision a little easier.

The Honda City SV price has come down from Rs 12,38,000 to Rs 11,95,300 — a drop of Rs 42,700. Moving up the range, the City V MT now costs Rs 12,69,500 after receiving a Rs 45,400 cut. The V CVT has also been adjusted, down by Rs 49,700, and is now priced at Rs 13,90,200.

 

The VX variants haven’t been left out either. The manual version is now listed at Rs 13,72,800, while the CVT-equipped option comes in at Rs 14,93,500 — both reflecting a noticeable correction.

 

As for the top-end trims, both ZX MT and ZX CVT have dropped by as much as Rs 57,500. And even the recently launched Honda City Sport Edition has seen its price fall by Rs 51,400, now available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 14,37,500. All in all, the entire Honda City new price list sits in a more attractive bracket.

The Honda City Hybrid is available only in the ZX variant. With a Rs 41,790 cut from the reduced GST rates, its ex-showroom price has dropped to Rs 19,48,200 from Rs 19,89,990. 

 

Honda City & City Hybrid engine specs

 

The Honda City comes equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine that delivers 121PS of power and 145Nm of torque. It is available with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-step CVT (continuously variable transmission). The Honda City mileage with the manual gearbox is claimed to be 17.8 kmpl, while the CVT version offers a claimed efficiency of 18.4 kmpl.

 

The Honda City Hybrid is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with two electric motors, producing a combined output of 127PS and 253Nm of torque. It is paired exclusively with an e-CVT gearbox and has a claimed mileage of 26.5 kmpl.
