Honda City Hybrid price reduced in 2025
Earlier, the Honda City Hybrid was priced at Rs 20.85 lakh, following a price hike in May 2025 of Rs 30,000. Honda Cars India has now reduced the City Hybrid price in India by Rs 95,010, dropping its ex-showroom price to Rs 19.90 lakh. This drop in price translates to a drop of 4.56% over the earlier price. This price revision could improve the sales of the City Hybrid, which are otherwise plummeting, like in the case of the standard Honda City.

Is the Honda City Hybrid stepping into local assembly?
A few months back, a media report claimed that Honda Cars India is actively considering locally assembling the strong hybrid powertrain in India, thereby benefitting from lower tax impositions. In an interaction with Autocar India, Takuya Tsumura, Honda Cars India president and CEO, said, “At this moment, we are thinking about a strong hybrid. There will be a plug-in hybrid option in specific markets, which is costly in India. We have to consider what is the best fit in India’s context, and at present, it is strong hybrids”. This steep price cut of around Rs 1 lakh could be an indication of local assembly of the City Hybrid, however, nothing has been revealed officially by Honda Cars India.
