Hyundai Aura AMT price reduced — S AMT variant launched

In order to combat increasing competition from the likes of the newly-launched Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze, Hyundai has updated the Aura AMT with a new S AMT variant, making it a lot more affordable than before. Hyundai Aura S AMT price and features

The Hyundai Aura S AMT price is set at Rs 8.08 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The addition of the new S AMT variant makes the Aura AMT more affordable by Rs 87,000, compared to the earlier starting range of AMT powertrain. Earlier, the Aura AMT was only available in the SX variant, priced at Rs 8.95 lakh ex-showroom. This move comes as a response to the Amaze’s affordable CVT transmission option with the VX variant, which comes under Rs 10 lakh ex-showroom.

Coming to the Hyundai Aura S AMT features, it packs electronic stability program (ESP), six airbags, LED DRLs. hill-start assist, tyre-pressure monitoring system and power-folding outside mirrors with integrated turn signals. Other key features include 15-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, 2-din infotainment system with Bluetooth, steering mounted controls, rear AC vents, rear seat armrest and rear defogger.

Hyundai Aura powertrain options

The Hyundai Aura comes with a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that puts out 83PS of power and 113Nm of peak torque. It comes with the choice of a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). Cost-conscious buyers also get to choose the option of a factory-fitted CNG option that comes equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission only.
