The Kia Carens Clavis EV is currently India’s most-affordable electric MPV, with prices starting from Rs 17.99 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi. Kia Carens Clavis EV 6-seater confirmed?

 

The Kia Carens Clavis EV was launched exclusively with the 7-seater configuration, following slow demand for the 6-seater variants of the standard Carens. However, a new report reveals that Kia India is planning to launch a 6-seater configuration option for the Carens Clavis EV—a move likely based on the customer response at launch.

The new report reveals that the 6-seater configuration will be available only with the top-spec HTX+ ER variant. Like the standard 6-seater Carens Clavis, the Carens Clavis EV 6-seater will feature captain chairs in the second-row with recline and tumble function. On the features front, the Kia Carens Clavis EV 6-seater is likely to carry over the same features as the 7-seater models.

Kia Carens Clavis EV features

 

Kia Carens Clavis EV features include V2L capability, active air flaps, Level-2 ADAS with 20 functionalities, dual-screen setup for infotainment and instrumentation, blind spot monitors, 8-speaker Bose sound system, one-touch tumbling second row seats, boss mode, adjustable cup holders, ventilated front seats, and more.

 

Kia Carens Clavis EV battery and motor specs

 

The Clavis EV comes with the option of a 135PS and a 171PS electric motor. It gets the option of a 51.4kWh battery pack and a 42kWh battery pack, both taken from the Creta Electric. The claimed 0-100kmph time stands at 8.4 seconds with the larger battery. The ARAI-claimed Kia Clavis EV range stands at 404km with the 42kWh battery pack, and 490km with the 51.4kWh battery pack. It gets a 10%-80% charging time of 39 minutes using a 100kW DC fast charger. Home charging options include a 7.4kW and an 11kW AC charger.
