Kia India sales climb to 29,042 units in August 2026 on Seltos and Sonet demand

Kia India closed out August 2026 with its best-ever wholesale performance for the month, dispatching 29,042 units and posting growth of 48.1%, a gap of 9,434 units, over the 19,608 units it sold in August 2025. The strong showing was enough to push Kia past Toyota in India's overall monthly sales ranking, moving the Korean carmaker into fifth place among the country's carmakers for August.

The Seltos is still one of Kia’s best-selling models, with monthly sales averaging over 10,000 units since the new generation launched in January 2026. The Sonet also continues to sell well in the sub-4-metre SUV segment. The new Syros EV also added to August sales.
