- 1Land Rover Defender Octa Black gets black details inside and out
- 2Runs on 22-inch forged black wheels
- 3Comes with the 635PS 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8
Land Rover has taken the wraps off a striking new variant of its high-performance SUV—Defender OCTA Black. This new addition to the Defender OCTA range brings a bold, stealthy appearance, pairing all-black styling with the rugged capability the Defender is known for.
Bold black styling inside and out
The OCTA Black gets its name from the extensive use of black finishes, with up to 30 exterior components treated in black. These include the front undershield, rear scuff plates, and quad exhaust tips. The SUV comes finished in Narvik Black paint as standard, while buyers can upgrade to a Matte Protective Film for a more premium, satin appearance. Wheel options include 20-inch and 22-inch forged alloys, both finished in black to complete the aesthetic.

Refined, performance-driven cabin
Inside, the Defender OCTA Black introduces Ebony Semi-Aniline Leather combined with Kvadrat fabric—a first for the Defender lineup. The cabin features unique perforation and stitching patterns on the Performance Seats, and Satin Black Powder Coat finishes adorn key dashboard elements. For those seeking an extra edge, an optional Chopped Carbon Fibre trim is also available.
Same 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8
Mechanically, the OCTA Black mirrors the standard OCTA variant. It houses a 635PS 4.4-litre twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8, paired with 6D Dynamics suspension and a dedicated OCTA Mode for off-road performance. The SUV also includes Body and Soul Seats developed with SUBPAC, which let occupants feel sound vibrations through the seatbacks—an immersive touch in a high-performance setting.

Tour partnership and model expansion
The launch coincides with Land Rover’s announcement that Defender is now the official automotive partner of Oasis Live ’25, the legendary British band’s 41-date global tour. Defender vehicles will be used to transport the band and crew throughout the event.
