Latest Hyundai CSR Activity - Remote Healthcare Access Expanded In Maharashtra By Hyundai’s CSR Arm

Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), which is the CSR arm of Hyundai Motors India Limited, has initiated operations of five Telemedicine Clinics in Talegaon, Pune. This comes as a part of Hyundai’s Sparsh Sanjeevani healthcare initiative. These five clinics will provide healthcare services to Pait, Kadus, Wada, Navlakh Umbre, and Sudumbre villages in Talegaon town. This Hyundai CSR activity is aimed towards boosting primary healthcare infrastructure in rural India by providing essential medical consultations and healthcare services remotely.
Hyundai CSR Activity - Sparsh Sanjeevani Telemedicine Clinics
Speaking at the inauguration of Sparsh Sanjeevani Telemedicine Clinics in Maharashtra, Mr. Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head – Corporate Affairs, HMIL said, “Under Hyundai’s global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’, the Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) through its Sparsh Sanjeevani healthcare initiative has created a network of telemedicine clinics in the underserved corners of India, augmenting existing primary healthcare facilities. The 5 new clinics bolster the network to 40 tele-medicine clinics, operational in 8 states across India, with an aim to ensure that even the most isolated communities receive the care they need. Through diverse initiatives undertaken under HMIF, we will continue to sow the #SeedsOfGood in India, fostering sustainable development and promoting holistic societal growth.”

These telemedicine clinics are nurse assisted clinics where patients are connected with specialist doctors via video calls, providing remote specialist consultation in remote areas. Post consultation, each patient is provided with medicines by the nurse in-charge. This service is provided at a nominal charge of Rs 100.
Hyundai’s CSR Initiatives
Aside from the Sparsh Sanjeevani healthcare initiative, Hyundai Motor India Foundation runs multiple CSR initiatives all around the year. This includes initiatives such as Hyundai’s Dhyan Do — an initiative to promote road safety in India, #BeTheBetterGuy — an initiative to foster safer mobility and Art for Hope — an initiative to promote art as an agent of change.
