Mahindra sales April 2025 — Stellar growth continues!

Mahindra had recently surpassed Hyundai to become the second largest carmaker in India, and its growth momentum continues, with a solid 19.4% cumulative increase in sales. While certain commercial vehicle segments saw a downfall, passenger vehicles kept the bar high up for the Indian carmaker. Here’s an analysis of the Mahindra Auto sales in April 2025 in India, with both month-on-month and year-on-year comparisons.

Please note that the sales numbers stated above reflect the number of units dispatched to dealers and they might vary from the actual number of units sold by dealerships. Furthermore, these numbers include sales of both passenger vehicles as well as commercial vehicles.
MoM and YoY analysis
Month-on-month sales remained more or less constant, with a fall in exports but a slight rise in domestic sales, taking the total number up by 276 units. When compared to the same month last year, the brand exceeded expectations with 13,699 more units sold including 12,175 in India and 1,524 in global markets. This translates into a 19.4% rise.

Recording an impressive 27.6% year-on-year growth, Mahindra sold 52,330 SUVs in India in April 2025. Sales including exports stood at 54,860 units.

The carmaker sold 22,989 commercial vehicles in India last month, with a mixed trend seen across categories.
