While the Scorpio Classic is offered in a single diesel manual powertrain option with just a couple of variants, the choice is extensive when it comes to the Scorpio-N. Here’s an article outlining the various engine options available on the Scorpio-N, along with the Mahindra Scorpio-N mileage, including both claimed and real-life figures.

Mahindra Scorpio-N petrol mileage

The Mahindra Scorpio-N petrol manual mileage comes out to be in the neighbourhood of 9.5-10kpl in real-world conditions, while the Mahindra Scorpio-N petrol automatic mileage comes out to be around 8-8.5kpl. Mahindra Scorpio-N diesel mileage

The Mahindra Scorpio-N diesel manual mileage comes out to be in the neighbourhood of 12-12.5kpl in real-world conditions, while the Mahindra Scorpio-N diesel automatic mileage comes out to be around 11-11.5kpl.

Mahindra Scorpio-N engine options

The Mahindra Scorpio-N is offered with two engine options — a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with direct injection and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine. The petrol unit produces 203PS of power and 370Nm of peak torque with a 6-speed manual, and 380Nm with a 6-speed automatic transmission. 

The diesel engine is available in two states of tune. The lower-tuned engine produces 132PS of power and 300Nm of torque, and is only available with the 6-speed manual gearbox. The one with the higher tune generates 171PS of power and 370Nm of torque with the 6-speed manual, and 400Nm of torque with the 6-speed automatic transmission.
